An apology

If you're wrong just say you're wrong as when we are wrong we learn and when we learn we grow. The other side of the coin is that I have to be proved if I am wrong then I will accept correction.

Saying 'sorry' is easy, being sorry is the difficult part.

We can be sorry for different reasons.. we can be correct in our thoughts/words and still be sorry we hurt some one feelings....

We can be sorry we did not invite A to a gathering at the same time we know it was a good thing not to invite A .

Husband and wife are fussen :angry3 at each other, he says i am sorry ......your such a nag... that dont get it... :missyou

I don't have a hard time apologizing. I learned long ago that if you're arguing with your spouse, and it turns out that you're correct...apologize at once. This may not make sense to some, but when you hurt someones feelings, it can be bad. Being amicable and peaceful and united is sometimes more important than being right or wrong. I am stubborn and have to be shown where I am wrong to apologize for that. Like was already noted, it takes more than someone giving an opinion that I am wrong. But why should that stop an apology? I have done a lot of apologizing in my life, I don't *think* I have a pride problem. But, many times I have been accused of giving false apology, and this disconcerting to me because it makes me realize that the damage has been done, and I have not corrected it. That bothers me. There's not much that I would know how to do at that point.

That begs the question: Can one apologize for simply hurting ones feelings, without accepting that they were in reality wrong, and have it be really sincere?I suppose that it would depend on what the other is looking for. They want you to be wrong and apologize for it, and accept it? Whereas, if you apologize for the hurt feelings without comprehending where you were wrong (maybe you wasn't!) does it invalidate the apology?

Afterthought. Which is the bigger offense, being wrong? (of course). Or being right, and handling it poorly in such a way that the other became offended at your words?

I don't see any good in pretending to be wrong because it could be something important. In trivial matters maybe their shouldn't be serious disagreement anyways along the lines of "don't sweat the small stuff" . If you are wrong but don't understand why it might be a good idea to pray on it and self examine.

Man Edward you do like opening cans of worms :D . There's no offense in being wrong I think, unless you cause another to stumble through your actions, because everyone is wrong at times. Like you say being right and lacking grace can be offensive .

KissChasey ~ Opinions won't keep you warm at night.

Sometimes, days are like this and I don't agree with what you see
But I will never let the bitter things you say ever get to me

I can't see why anyone would call you a nag.
