It's interesting how different the Hebrew became after going to Babylon.

When I was in grade school, I memorized the symbols of the Egyptian alphabet and wrote letters to my friends who knew it too!
Also, in Jr High, My friend and I made up symbols and wrote each other notes.
I wish I could still do that. It was fun!
 
That's not the Anglo-Saxon alphabet (although the Anglo-Saxons probably used it). It's the Elder FUTHARK runic alphabet, used by Germanic people all over Europe.

Babylonian tounge and Hebrew are cousins. aramiac is related to the Hebrew.
 
The Phoenecian alphabet came into the picture somewhere, too.
