Angels

I'm not totally following your point, lynx.

Where in scripture do you back up your claim that extra-terrestrials are angels and particularly fallen angels?

Why do you think it is necessary for a Christian to have an explanation if the time should come that extra-terrestrials make their existence known to the world?

By deffinition angels are aliens. Are they from this world? No? Then they are aliens. Now are they the aliens that we have in pop culture.... go ask the aliens.

In the end does losing your salvation to win a debate sound worth it to you? There are mysteries in this big universe that God has created and we're not supposed to know what they are. Remember what tree Adam and Eve ate from. It was the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The adversary tempted them with forbidden knowledge and presented them with the choice to follow God's commandment or to break it. We're told that Adam and Eve chose to break God's Word to seek knowledge they shouldn't have had. If God wanted us to know all things He would have given it to us and not even have the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

I have never heard this explanation. I have different interpretation of this event. I thought the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is about who is the untimate authority. Who decide what is good and what is not. Is it God or human? When Adam and Eve decided to eat the apple, it meant they choose to rule on their own, they thought they might be better off if they don't follow God's rules. I thought that's why God allow the human develop on their own for thousands of years, allow suffering, so we can have clear answers in the end. If human can really rule on their own and be better off, or shall we come back to God and follow his rules and be better.

And I disagree on there are forbidden knowledge that we shouldn't know.
Espectially the alien subject, we are living in the endtime, as Jesus stated that the end times will be a return to the days of Noah. What typified the days of Noah? Fallen angels come down to the earth and inbreeding with humans.

So it is important for us to figure out the alien, because they are flying down and around us, and abducting human, messing human's DNA and creating hybrids. That is not much different of Noah's day that the fallen angels married the daughters of men and have their offsprings.

The alien's behavior a lot like the fallen angels.

If you want to state that you believe that the aliens are really demons trying to decieve... that is an OK answer from a Christian perspective. We know from the Bible that demons do like to pose as enlightened beings. We also know that they are liars. These are things we can say.

We can also say, as CalledtoServe has stated, that we cannot know everything, but what is written for us down in the Scriptures are what we can know.

There is nothing in the Scriptures about aliens from other planets. There is a lot about demons who try to cast doubt about God and who try to decieve.

As much as I respect the last couple of Popes, they are still men prone to error. If any Pope embraces or baptizes an "alien", we as Christians should look seriously into the fact that he is in error
.

Exactly! Be caution about Pope.

Lastly, the message we have to give all in the world, including athiests, is the Gospel. The fact that whether the "aliens" are interstellar beings or demons posing as such... Jesus Christ nonetheless is the Creator of all and He is the One whom we should be listening to.

I'm not trying to "escape" nor are my responses to you due to willful ignorance. The fact of the matter is, I don't have to study "aliens"... I have the Scriptures. The Scriptures tell me that demons pose as enlightened beings and that they lie. The Scriptures also tell me that it will be demons, the beast and anti-Christ who will lead people astray in the last days... not aliens. The Scriptures tell me to rely upon the Holy Spirit and to worship in Spirit and in truth... not chase after things which the Lord chose not to reveal.

I truly urge you, Lynx, to become a student of the Scriptures and pour the engery and interest you have in aliens into learning, studying and becoming approved! :yes

Hope you will remember this, when the aliens offically annouce their presence in front of all mankinds, ask them what do they think about Jesus, it is the only way we can identify what they truly are.

So, Lynx... If an alien shows up, goes on CNN and officially annouces that Planet Zerb has been visiting us for years... and Wolf Blitzer asks, "Who do you think Jesus Christ is?"

And the aliens says, "He is the only begotten Son, the Holy One of God" will you believe then that he is a good angel?

Ephesians 6: 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Act 14: 11-12 And when the crowds saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in Lycaonian, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!” Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.

Ezkiel 1:1-28

It is a matter of interpratation and how we understand the scriptures. I think we need to know what is angels before we can decide if they are the same as aliens. As Fedusenko point out, angels are not from this earth, so they are aliens. It is just the words we use differently between the authors of the Bible and the people of today.

And I tend to more believe the aliens are fallen angels is because if look at the behavior of the aliens, they act a lot like the fallen angels in the Noah's day. The only other way to be absolutely sure the alien's identity is when they show up, we ask them what do they think about Jesus.

And I have articles to show you, hope you will read it, it is very informative

Why do you think it is necessary for a Christian to have an explanation if the time should come that extra-terrestrials make their existence known to the world?

Because they are coming, and with so many ufos phenomenon and alien abduction, more and more people ask question including believers and non-believers, the existance of alien is challenging fundamental Christian beliefs.

Yes, if they acknowledge that and acknowledge Jesus come down to save us.

Eph:6:12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. KJV. Quite a different translation it would seem.

Regarding Acts 14:11-12. Are those the same group of people described in vs 2?

How? They don't change my beliefs in the slightest.

See, this is where you need to study the bible more deeply... Consider this exchange between Jesus and a known demon:

In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, “Let us alone! What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are— the Holy One of God!â€ But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet and come out of him!†And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst of the people, he came out of him without doing him any harm. Luke 4:33-35

You need to realize, Lynx... the demons believe in Jesus... they know exactly who He is.

Very good then.

But how will you explain to yourselve what they are when they show up?

But do they reconize him as Lord and Savior? It's not a sarcastic qiestion I really want to know.

Yes they recognize Him as the Lord and Savior... of mankind though.. not of them. They don't seem to have a savior. They are not human... Jesus came to save mankind, not the demons.

It is as James says, "You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder."

The demons certainly know the truth of who Jesus is and their own fate. Listen to these comments by them regarding Jesus:

What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?" Matthew 8:29

He shouted at the top of his voice, "What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Swear to God that you won't torture me!" Mark 5:7

It is clear that the demons are afraid of Jesus.. and they most certainly know who He is...

We also need to keep in mind that they lie... often.. Satan is the Father of lies...

But do they reconize him as Lord and Savior? It's not a sarcastic qiestion I really want to know.

According to alien abduction cases I read, some abductees asked the aliens about Jesus when they were on the ship, the aliens seems like to claim that Jesus is just one of many highly evolved ascended masters, the aliens don't seem like to acknowledge Jesus is the Savior or Lord.

And in other abduction cases, when abductees call out Jesus's name, it stop the abduction.

This is important verse you bring up, I don't know how are we going to identify the aliens now.

Lynx, I think the best thing would do would be to simply recognize that what is revealed about the angels and demons in the Bible is the simple truth....

They are not life beings from other planets... they are created beings in this heaven and earth, created to be God's messengers and servants. Those who stayed true to the Lord still carry out this purpose...

Those who rebelled are literally hell-bent to destroy as much of God's good creation as they can. And they will use any trick in the book to do so.

It matters not if they deceive you by convincing you that they are little red men in jumpsuits, are aliens from other planets, or simply that they don't exist at all. Their goal is to deceive you and lead you astray.

The answer here is not to check out everything there is about aliens on the Internet. The answer here is to study what you know to be true, not just about angels, but everything about our Lord... By immersing yourself in truth, you will be less likely to fall for a lie.

Very good then.

I can do that already. They are extra-terrestrials, aliens to our world, visitors from another place; planet, solar system, or galaxy. That doesn't make them angels; fallen or otherwise. That's not to say they can't be either. Who knows what God has done because there is nothing that God can't do.

I would like to offer a suggestion if you don't mind. I'm not being critical so please don't misunderstand but I would suggest spending less time concerning yourself with aliens and more time in the Word. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus for that is where we find life. Satan can use things like this to cloud our judgement. Be wary.

Handy,

Thank you for taking the time and all the reply.

However, you don't seem to understand my position. I am a Christian who can no longer deny the existance of aliens. I need answers, espectially from the Bible. I believe alien exist, there are no doubt in my mind, But this is just my opinions through my experience and research. No one can prove it, same as no one can prove aliens don't exist or it is a lie either. This subject goes on both way.
