Animals Can Think And Reason?

Rule 2. Every animal species has the right to defend themselves against there fellow animal species who violate rule 1. They don't need to call authorities. Except humans. They have a man made government ruling over them.

Many animals band together to protect themselves. For example wolves travel in packs, following the lead of the alpha male. Stronger members of the pack defend their weaker members (puppies and such) from predators.

This is similar to people banding together for common defense. People are social. The strong defend the weak. Police and soldiers defend the group from predators. The group feeds and equips the police and soldiers defending them.

Yes, many muscle men youngsters are strong enough to protect themselves from predators, but many people prefer to hire police and soldiers to protect them. Its not realistic to expect elderly persons to protect themselves from from a gang of strong youngsters. Its not reasonable to expect a thin female to defend herself from a 6'5" 250 pound football player. Fear of punishment helps keep some (not all) predators in check. The elderly is person safer than they otherwise would be.

For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Romans 13:4 NKJV

That's right Brother. Dogs are pack animals and need to know where they are in the pack. Many times in animal videos I see dogs testing the owners and they accidently send the dog the signal that the dog is higher in the pack than them. The people are simply being kind to their pet but don't realize it creates confusion for the dog. Or worse, the dog starts being hard to control cuz they think they are the boss!

Putting your dog in its place or saying no to it is not unkind or abusive. Its necessary and good for them because they aren't confused then.

If you pay attention dogs talk to us all the time with body language and it's worth exploring if one doesn't know how to read them.

A lit of a dogs body language is in the tail and ears.

Yup, and dogs do show signs of reasoning. Our dog will lower it's head and sneak upstairs if she thinks we're going to put her outside. If you catch her, you can see her reasoning.... Do I go upstairs... Or do I obey them.
They are also jealous. Our grandbaby was over this weekend. And our dogs couldn't stand all the attention she was getting!

Really! Lol. Poor little doggie! When I had my English Mastiff he was very smart and showed reason. He'd walk off leash better than on leash. Stay right beside me and loved to go for walks. But if I tried to put a leash on him, he didn't want to go anymore! And when friends with little kids came over to visit and they would pester him and climb all over him and lay on him he would put up with it...until he got tired of it. Then he would slowly and very carefully get up so not to hurt them or send them flying. I watched him do this and it was very cool.

After he died I got a GSP and I would let him out to go do his business and (no fence) and he would not go in the backyard. After awhile my good friend and neighbor across the alley told me that he was going in his rear driveway. So I apologized and next time I let him out I waited for a minute and looked, he was over in his driveway. I went out fast and told him, Riggs, no. Go up the alley somewhere. (One time!) And he did. After that when I let him out he'd disappear for 10 minutes and come back home. Good boy!

Let me see,Cheyenne would get jealous ,she had two people she didn't like.Sasha her mother a gsp,who adopted her .these too, picked one of us a favorite ,Sasha had to be near me ,and loved me,she would per herself if I raised my voice and guarded the house ,I was the only man allowed to pet her,Cheyenne was trainable ,oh,the antics with her.Bella the baby ,will jump ,balence her self on two legs for a treat ,willow the pup,I shall see

When I got my Mastiff in Colorado, He liked all of my friends...except one! First time he met (an old and trusted friend...) he growled at him and barked one time to let him know.

I admit, I never looked at that friend the same way again after that. I trusted Thor's judgment. I didn't say anything to him though.

Ha! They are like little kids who are always trying to get away with something! Our Momma is about 16ish and she's a full blooded rat terrier who could still take out a racoon and have fun doing it.

We've got an underground fence with the stubborn dog collar that uses the 9 volt battery which she ignores when a squirrel or possum is on the other side of the fence, but for the most part keeps her in the yard. Anyway, she knows when the battery to the collar is dead... Or if she's not wearing the collar cause she's off down the street and if it's dark, you can forget about her coming home till she's good and ready.

Year's and year's ago I had a Shepherd Wolf hybrid that was the best dog I've ever had in my life. I spent a lot of time training that dog and cried when I had to get rid of him.

Anyway, the dog was extremely protective. Didn't matter who you were... Almost...

We were sitting on the front lawn enjoying the day when a car pulled up and a man got out, then walked up to us. My dog lifted his head, then proceeded to lay it back down in the other direction so the sun wasn't in his face. I though, this is odd, what's wrong with my dog? He's never this relaxed when a stranger comes by.

The man was the preacher to the church I started to attend. I didn't even recognise him...

I didn't have very good friends back then, but I learned to trust my dog. If he didn't like you, that was my queue...

I hear you. My Mastiff, Thor was so cool. He hardly ever barked even at most people walking by on the street. Sometimes he did. It's like he could tell if they was evil or something. And he wouldn't take a snack that a lady tried to feed him in the park one day, but after she left, I picked it up and he ate it from my hand! He was like, 700 or 900 I forget.

I traded a 308 rifle for my GSP. Im not a bird hunter though so didn't get him that training. My son met the breeder on a furnace call and talked to the guy. Riggs, my GSP with no training would point all on his own a lot. I took him to the range and camping and stuff. I taught him the rabbit word, squirrel and when he'd see one he would point and not run for it, but if I said get him Riggs, then he off like a rocket!

It's hard to say which one was the better dog. Thor was a better protector but riggs was a better hunter. I miss them both! Both of them obeyed very good, and were awesome chick magnets when I walked them. I've been looking for a German Shepard rescue dog this time, save some money and even if it's a little older, I can gain his trust. I need a dog here. But no girl dogs! Lol.

My wife likes female dogs.Bella and willow are ladies

I like all dogs but the female dogs are, how to say this...more messy than boy dogs.

Not really. Animals live by two rules.

Rule 1. Love and respect your fellow animal and there private property/territory/family.

Rule 2. Every animal species has the right to defend themselves against there fellow animal species who violate rule 1. They don't need to call authorities. Except humans. They have a man made government ruling over them.

I agree with rule number two but rule number one isn't always followed. I think I heard a couple of cats or raccoons were getting into a bit of a squabble last night.

Makes perfect sense to me as our kitty thinks that the world revolves around her and that you need to drop what you're doing every second of every day to pay attention to her. :lol

I think I know how you can *ahem* fix that. :wink

Exactly rule number two is only for those who violate rule number one. It's like when cat fights, a cat will defend its private property. The neighbours cat comes inside tries to eat the cats food and they have a fight, it's defending it's property and food from the other cat who violated rule one by disrespecting another cats territory and trying to steal it's food.

If a cat does not invite another cats territory and tries steal it's food they get along as neighbours and have respect and peace for one another.

Throw a piece of bread to the birds and they will fight for it because they all claim it because it's free for the taking, so each bird is defending there food from the other thieves. There all claiming the other bird is a thief so they all fight for the bread and go rule number 2. One bird will take a chunk and fly off and other birds will chase the thief, but the bird that took the chunk claimed it and believed it was there bread.

I'm sure the wolves ,bobcats and gators who will prey on Mr kitty ,small dog, chickens just be polite .

Ah no.
German shepherd males are known to kill the male pups of theirs. A sow will eat her own unless the farmer ,owner touches those piglets first .

A racoon will kill your fish ,chicken too

But they are the psychopaths, every species has its psychopaths.

gators are predators, as are wolves, and the others, you wouldn't walk a dog in say taylor creek park where gators will lie on the path you walk. they will eat your dog fast. they are known to enter lakes and in your yards and will eat as they choose. a racoon the same. and wolves and the others only do so when they have no choice, my point was that they don't care for nicieities when its time to have a meal.

But I was never talking about different animals attacking other animals like a Lion attacking a Deer. I was talking about the two rules each species live by within its own community.

Intelligent monkey. Sharpened a rock and smashed a window to get out of its enclosure, obviously didn't like being kidnapped and locked in a cage, it wanted it's freedom.
