Another game to be avoided - Bayonetta

Hi all,

Ive just seen a review of this game and thought it was worth flagging up as definately one not to reccomend.

Bayonetta on the xbox 360 and PS3 sees a witch actively fighting and killing angelic beings to keep the judgement on her at bay. The angelic beings are portrayed as strange robotic things with feathers and halos. There is even a mini game where you kill angels for thier halos.

Im sure I dont have to say why I felt this to be grossly inappropriate for a game, and just wanted to make people aware of the content of it. It seems wrong on so many levels.
 
Yeah, and she apparently is slowly unclothed as she fights. (sweet!!) Wouldn't know for sure, but I would be quite alright with finding out. :D I would LOVE to play that game, but then again I have much different opinions than most other Christians do. :3
 
Well maybe because I am getting older and not into that junk anymore, or I have been walking with the Holy Spirit to such an extent that it no longer brings any joy whatsoever....I am still OK with violence in video games and other media (to the extent that it is not overly gratuitous...aka no Saw movies).

its called wisdom. i felt the same thing when i was young but as i grew older i just dont see any fun in violence, not that i ever saw violence as fun in real life, but i wasnt as aversed to horror flics as i am now.

i have been to combat and see enough of gore to make me not see it as entertainment. especially when i could easily enjoy and stay in that adreline mode for a while at times. death what a rush!

ask any vet they will tell you that war is the best of time and the worst of times.

btw long live the federation.
 
I'm a firm believer that they get this 'wisdom' because they're too old to fight/'horse around' and bitter because they aren't as attractive as they used to be and never will be again. xD'

And yeah, war will always suck. No one wants to see their buddy get smeared or watch the enemy blow their mind, but the old sure seem to like sending the young out to fight their wars, anyway.
 
Yeah, I know. All I'm saying is that as people get older they sure don't get hotter. You hit a dead end somewhere in your late twenties to your thirties and it's all downhill from there. And 40 year old people can be attractive, but it's always "they're attractive...for a forty year old". You just can't beat youth.

obviously you arent married for good looks doenst keep a man nor woman.

trust me my wife isnt like she used to be , but neither am i, but our love is growing. that is what is the keeper.

youth is fleeting, age and treachery will always beat youth. trust me. us old guys usually outsmart the faster quicker younger ones in martial arts. i learned that age the of twenty and started to outhink my opponents first then fly in when i timed their weakness. all that taught to me by an old. slow. bad knees, 45 yr old. all he had was the ability to time me and outhink me and 85% time it worked.
 
Good looks DO matter, but by the time you're old and ugly, you have deepened your relationship so far you don't care anymore. But people at age 20 don't date an ugly person for their shining personality. The fact that old people don't care is an acquired thing through years of getting to know the person. Everyone knows that. :D

And you needn't tell me that age and treachery always kill youth, we find that out early on in life. I mean, you can't have everything. That's why the young and beautiful have their physical benefits and old people have a sharp mind. When you have it you flaunt it, old people don't have that anymore, so they need to compensate.

Still, I much prefer the young and reckless to the cocky 'wisdom' of the old.
 
tell you get hurt. then what. my reverse to that saying is if youre gonna being stupid better be strong.

many a soldiers have punished with dumb exerecises and i myself learned that hard way too.

ah i never dated a woman for her looks even in my younger days. a fat girl can treat you far better then skinny one at times. i looked for more then looks, looks never keep a man or woman.

i wouldnt stay in a relationship with a psycho super model.

And not the same thing. You can have a fantastic person who's beautiful, but someone has to catch your eye SOMEHOW. I mean, you can't help that the first thing you notice about a person is their appearance. A person's appearance is part of finding people attractive too. For me it goes "he looks nice and he's quite a hottie too. I'll get to know him to make sure he's not a jerk before I pursue a relationship."

till, and avoid the use of hottie against forum rules.

atraction yes, but that aint always the case for a lot of men. i know alot men who only like heavy women. i am not one of those. though i dated some women like that as i liked thier personality more then looks. looks arent going to keep anyone. beauty fades and if you make the mistake of basing it all on those looks when you get bored of the hunk, then what?

men never look at the same playboy pinup more then once.they lust after that one then they move on. of course those days are gone for me. i'm porn free :clap thanks to the lord.

You are also grossly misinterpreting what I'm saying. Its not all about looks, but looks are important to every human whether you admit it or not. It's the first thing you notice about a person and biologically speaking, we inherently look for people we find appealing. You know, the whole breeding thing. And obviously looks aren't the only part of these relationships, otherwise people wouldn't be as in love at older ages as they are.

I mean yeah dating only for looks is stupid and gets you nowhere, but denying your wiring as a human isn't much better.
