Well, now that Memorial Day is officially over, it is now unofficially the start of summer. :shades So that means that it's summer vacation time!!! It's that time of year again when a lot of kids are going to be getting out of school if they're not already and many people will be going on their vacations. I know that I'm going to be going outside of Washington D.C and stay on a ranch in Maryland and I only have a little more than few more days until I leave!! :wootI am also going to be spending lots of time at the beach swimming in the lake and a lot of time swimming in the pool as well as my aqua Zumba classes start this summer.
There's a video below in case you don't know what that is. Anyway, I'll be going to that a week after I get home from my vacation and then I will be going there every week after until August and I also get to swim a bit afterwards. Oh yeah, I also have summer concerts in the park and I'm pretty sure I will be stopping at many garage sales and the ice cream shop quite a few times as well. :biggrin So with that I'm going to leave you with two questions. One, what are you planning on doing this summer? And two, do you prefer going to the beach or going to the pool? I've got to say that I for one am definitely a beach fan for a number of different reasons. One, admiring God's natural and beautiful creation, two I absolutely love swimming in the lake and floating on top of the waves, and three,.. yes,.. I will admit it, I'm a grown woman who still enjoys making sandcastles. :blush Of course I don't think that I'm the only one because I've heard of a lot of sandcastle contests out there that adults participate in. I might even be going to the beach tomorrow morning with my niece since the weather is supposed to be really nice. I just hope that the water isn't too cold. I remember that one time when I went to the beach last year a seagull tried to steal one of the buckets that we had brought with us. Which that would have been a sight to see him fly away with it and we could always get another one.
Luckily for me though I'm the kind of person who has rather dark skin so I tan easily. In fact, since I've been out in the sun so much already, I'm working on a tan as I type this. I do also enjoy swimming in the pool however as well as jumping off the diving board and going down the waterslides. So anyways, whatever you're planning to do this summer I really want to hear about it, and I sure hope that you have a fun and safe summer! Stay cool! (and hydrated) Lol (yes it was a play on words ) By the way, that is an actual song that we use in our aqua Zumba class and once Saturday comes I'll start posting about my trip since that's the day I'm leaving. :wink
