either case its far, far away as a reality for us but if we don't explore and grow we will as a species die. we have benefits in space exploration already.

There are finite natural resources on terra, for utilization by technology. We have already mined most of the easily obtainable resources, and are resorting to mining expensive to reach remote areas. Easy to mine resources were mined out in Europe first, and then the US. There are still lots of resources in Siberia and such, but good luck getting to them.

The US managed to reach the moon, back when we still had lots of easy to mine resources, but have not been back since. Maybe Space X et al can build a self sustaining moon colony, using foreign natural resources, before they are mined out too.

Yes, but that was one expensive resupply. I can't even imagine what it would cost to regularly ferry supplies to the moon, let alone Mars.

Maybe a robotic factory could be sent first, to build a colony using moon rocks.

IOW, no moon colonies till the Vulcans arrive.

its not feasible at present but one can shoot for the stars and well you know the saying. if we don't dream we will die. im not for simply teaching that within my lifetime jesus will return. I don't know when, tonight, today, tomorrow. who knows. but lets plan for the future with his return and also explore His creation if one wants to. space exploration isn't a sin.

it depends on how its done. if its for greed then well I wouldn't call that appreciation. the Spaniards squandered the land they used. france didn't do that as much but that was the time . they fought each other st.Augustine was hit by hired pirates a lot and burned to the ground at least twice. sadly I can see that with colonies if each nation does that with the moon.

I cant stand NCIS. maybe its because of what I have been trained on. btw CID is bigger and well they aren't all officers and nco's do the arrest work not the officers. the same is true with the NCIS

Agreed. It took Chris Pine for me to "get" what the Kirk role was all about (no deference to Mr. Shatner). But once I "got" it, I believe Weatherly would be perfect for the role even though now he is more advanced in years than the age portrayed by Pine.

seldom watched it. cid and mps well one must be an mp first then one is trained as a cid agent. the army trains all mps for all services. to include the navy version of the mp when the section they need training on. that is why I don't like ncis. they make it sound like the ncis is all that. they aren't. they one of three branches that do that. the oss(air force), the cid and ncis. ncis handles the navy,marines an the coast guard. the army handles the national guard and reserves. the oss deals with airforce only.

not always. you cant make it more realistic and still have a good story. ever watch the movie the generals daughter? it is a fact that some of that went on. not based on what went on fully but the point is made. the cid agent is portrayed accurately as he wore rank as he needed to infilatrate and was actually a msg.
