It has come to my attention that this board has quite a few Apostates. Now before you attack me and call me unloving remember this:
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits. whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into this world" 1John 4:1
"Test all things; hold fast to what is good" 1Thessalonians 5:21
Apostasy is something that should be exposed and rebuked.
Now, there is a difference between Apostasy and regular False Teachings. An Apostate is someone who knows God's word to be true, knows God's saving grace, and knows that every piece of scripture written is from God,that should be heeded and obeyed. Yet, they openly deny God's Word and the Scriptures. They openly deny Christ's truth revealed in Scripture.
False teachers on the other hand, have not heard Christ's truth and teach nothing but lies like the Apostates. There is a key phrase there though, "they have not heard Christ's truth". Therefore, Apostates spit God in the face. They spit their only salvation, which is Christ, the Son of God, who through Him alone can you be saved from hell.
Peter, one of the Apostles, and writers of the bible under inspiration of the Holy Spirit warned us about these people:
"But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction." 2Peter 2:1
Our beloved brother Jude put it this way:
"For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ" Jude v.4
Our Lord Jesus Christ warned us about men that will disguise themselves as one of us but will bring destructive doctrine:
"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves" Matthew 7:15
Other warnings of Apostasy:
Matthew 7:15
Romans 16:17
2Timothy 4:3-4
And much more.
These Apostates that are here, in these forums, go through and look to destroy truth. They do not believe scripture, they do not believe that EVERY scripture in the Holy Bible is accurate or infallible. Here is the truth about what scripture is:
"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God" 2Timothy 3:16
Now, knowing this, this includes our brother Paul's writings. Even Peter knew that Paul was inspired by God, and he also knew the outcome of what would happen if someone twisted or corrupted who Paul is or what he has written:
"Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation--as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures." 2Peter 3:14-16
Remember this as well, Paul in no way corrupted scripture, for Paul could not have. Paul was inspired by the Holy Spirit and even Peter knew that no man can corrupt scripture:
"knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." 2Peter 1:20-21
One final thought, "Contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints" Jude .v3, and remember "Test all things; hold fast to what is good" 1Thessalonians 5:21.
