Archie to be shot saving gay friend

Archie laid down his life for a friend. Would he lay down his life for his neighbor, someone he didn't even know, that is a true hero in my book? :chin

Why does the gay issue have to come into it?
 
I'm probably going to get jumped on here, but Archie comics were never all that wholesome. From a christian point of view, they would be something to shy away from.

Can anyone tell me why?

What was wrong with the Archie comics in the 60's?I do not remember anything inappropriate.
 
well...even though I think gay is played out as novelty, it still wins brownie points and now all sorts of "open minded" people will get an Archie who may never had before and...well, I think their bean counters figured that a "brave, political stance" like this one might generate extra income. Just my guess.

Think about the content of those comic books and who the audience was/is.

I was one of the readers.I was very particular about what I read and so were my parents.My comics included; Mickey Mouse,Donald Duck,Uncle Scrooge and Little LuLu
 
I used to read the comic, I read a few years back, it had a lot of vanity to it and also worldliness.
 
two years ago, I saw them as they have always been on the shelf at publix, so I read it for a few minutes. veronica has always been vain, but the others also were vain as she was years ago. it would make sense for them to change. did you really think they would stay 50 ish and 60 ish?
 
a comical thing about this comic. when I was a kid, I was into this show, yes it had a cartoon and also was read on every sunday. jughead was my favorite character. when I was under the age 5 possible three. as all kids say silly things I said to my mother as she said what are you doing? as I had the oven door open.

every time I think about archie and friends, I think about that. my mom still pokes at me about this. when she sees archie she remember that too.

Two years ago?Well of course they would be bad.They have changed alot in 52 years.With the way our world is going no I did not.It is just so sad that our world is declining in every way.

I can barely watch many 50 shows. Idk its just so unreal and staged. not that I didn't like them in my youth but I cant at present watch some of those shows for great lengths.

They were alot more wholesome than the garbage that is on television now.
