Soap Operas and Chick Flicks tend to play on stereotypes a lot. So it is doubtful. Then I cannot argue with another's comment here...if you are a man...it can seem impossible to understand those of the female gender. Believe me...us women have it just as hard trying to comprehend the male gender. Not that there is not anything to love about men. Just oye...it is hard sometimes. I can almost agree with that old saying..."Men are from Mars and Women from Venus."

The key thing that so many people seem to overlook is everyone is different.
You can't just group everyone of one gender together and assume they're all the same.
Saying you want to understand women is like saying you want to understand white people.
You can understand individual people within the group, but the group is too diverse for someone to understand the group as a whole.

Absolutely not. Chick flicks and soaps reek of worldly values. The entertainment industry is overwhelmingly liberal and there is almost no morality left to be found.

The key to understanding women is to understand what God says about relationships in the bible. Men love your wives. They need love, they need their emotional needs meet. Women, respect your husbands. God placed men as the head of the household for a reason and that needs to be respected.

These gender roles are not mutually exclusive and there is some overlap. Sometimes men will be more emotional and compassionate on an issue. Sometimes women will take charge of a matter in the household or in the relationship. But God did set a plan in place and it's up to us to conform our will to His.

Each gender has been assigned a role in God's hierarchy. Since this society has deviated greatly from that plan we see all the strife and problems in marriage and families falling apart. Get back to the word of God and if you study scripture together and pray about it you will have a much greater chance at a successful relationship.

I agree with Armor of God, the key to understanding women is in the Bible. You can find there how you should treat your mother, your sister, your friend, your daughter, an elderly widow, and your wife. The Lord bless you.
