Hello. I've been a vocalist for about 15 years. Love all types of music. I was also a music ed. major in college 2 1/2 years (didn't finish). I've been heavily involved (on and off) with community theater for the past 6 years. My husband's been a drummer for about 20 years.

:)
I am a drummer too' tell your husband to visit my site.

You didn't know before? Wow.

Anyway, I've been playing for about 9-10 years and a variety of styles, jazz, rock, metal, alternative and various types of percussion in classical concert bands.

I don't really have the best equipment or anything, but I'm not a real serious drummer. I've got a Pearl Forum kit (black - the best colour of course! :D), 5 piece - 14" snare, 10", 12", 14" toms + a second 14" snare, 20" bass drum.
Dixon double kick pedal.

Zildjian ZBT Pro (special edition):
20" Ryde
18" crash/ryde
16" crash
14" hats (with clutch for double kick)

I've got some evans heads but they need replacing and I think I'll go for Emperor or something like that.

Basically, I'm a self-taught, play it by ear guitarist, mostly acoustic, so I stick primarily to rhythm and some flat-picking. I can read lead sheets, but that's about it. I play acoustic behind four or five vocalists and Yamaha keyboard in the church's praise team.

Wow, old thread. I'm about the same as Vic. I play some lead, but mostly acoustic. I lead our praise team at church. I play a Martin Acoustic (nothing fancy, mid level), Ibanez Hybrid (Montage) and a Japaneze Strat. I also play harmonica and know enough piano and drums to be dangerous :eyebrow

I play and write music for Piano, and I play guitar. My last guitar was a midi Strat.
I could play all my keyboards from just my Strat, it was way to much fun. I have not
played anything for two years due to illness. I kinda miss it. You can hear my music
for free at this link:

I used to have a Brian Moore Synth guitar with a Roland synthesizer. The sounds were incredible—I could have a combination of acoustic guitar/electric gtr or and midi sounds like strings all at once. Sadly, I needed the $$$ and had to sell it. It was a little gimmicky—I didn't gig out with it much, but it aalways got people's attention. Maybe one day I'll get another one but I think first I'd like to get a good 12-string again.

I'm playing guitar, but unfortunetly nowdays i don't have time to play it like before. But we never know, maybe i will reorder my things in life.

Bluegrass musician -

I've been playing 5-String Banjo for about 35 years, both "Scruggs Style", and "Clawhammer". I also play Autoharp in kind of the "Maybelle Carter Style". Presently I'm in the "Cedar Junction Band", and doing music festivals, "Oprys", and Churches in the North Texas area.

I play piano and have for about six years now. I currently play on my youth group's worship team. I'm also learning the guitar.

I took that site down around 5 or 4 years ago something like that it is more like 5 I think.

Hey Lewis, I just bought a lap steel. :yes I have no idea what I'm doing; I'm not good at finger picking but I'm having fun learning. :D
