are vitamins safe?

I do not think most people eat as they should and get all the vitamins and minerals they need every day. Some might but many I have talked with say they don't.That is why they need a daily multi vitamin. It keeps up their resistance and immunity so they don't get sick as often.

Wouldn't it be better for them to improve their eating habits?

yep. but guess what happened to the food supply.
'course, in marshal, tx, they found a good diet, and it's nationwide news now, for the tremendous health improvements in a short time, and other cities starting the same approach ('whole cities' getting the mayors and others help to do so).

so a good diet is best. next best is supplement as needed. then go to heaven healthy and happy ! (re "God's Key to Health and Happiness" by Pastor Josephson; and "Moses Wasn't Fat" by someone else and "Fit for Life" 1,2, and 3 by the Diamonds)

I mean, do you even get what's on the label? Are there safe guards, testing in place? I ask because I take LOTS of supplements, and it just dawned on me...am I even getting what I think I am?

Any supplement fans out there have answers?

You have to do your research on this. Some vitamins are water soluble (come out when you urinate) and others are fat soluble. The fat soluble ones like vitamin A and some of the minerals should be more conscious of. I wouldn't advise using any iron supplements higher then whats in a daily multivitamin.

There is some very promising results with megadosing certain vitamins like C and some of the B vitamins like Niacin.

I honestly do not think there is a difference of a B-100 from wal mart or high dollar name brand at GNC. I read once they are all made at the same factories.

IMO, I would stay away from herbs. Herbs are not regulated like vitamins. You don't know what quantity of what you are truly getting in an herb. And herbs are not naturally a part of the human body like vitamins, amino acids and minerals are. There is something very powerful in strengthening your temple through vitamins. Cause none of us eat right this day and age.
