What I wrote was light hearted questdriven. I would not ask, I would simply pay, and change the tire too. I just wrote that to not offend any of our resident feminists.

Women are in no way inferior! They...are a very good helpmeet shall we say?



Let's hear some of these advantages (from a womans perspective).

Didn't say he had to ask. Though, if I were on a date, I'd probably do like I do with anyone else...start getting out my money prepared to pay, but then if the other person stopped me saying they would pay I'd be like "oh okay, thank you".

I always expect to pay but if something is said then I'll cheerfully let them pay or go dutch or whatever makes them comfortable. I had a couple dates with a nice lady a few years back and she liked to go dutch so that she didn't have to feel as if show owed me anything (or thinking that I may think that as some guys do). That's fine, whatever makes them comfortable.

But if nothing is said, i expect to pay as the man. So what? it's only money.

In Hebrew say boys and girls play in the school playground, the way its referenced as boys plural.
We have to get used to Hebrew being like that....the only time girls are referenced is when they are alone.
It could be perceived as women are on the receiving end, but of all ancient cultures Hebrew women were the most respected and loved by their Hebrew men, so the Bible does cater for women and love them properly.

I see Jasonc, that's nice to know , its a little more proof Semitic languages such as Hebrew influenced all other languages...
some even see Hebrew as the Mother of all languages, an interesting theory of faith...

Though it makes it hard to find verses speaking about women, and their work in the Lord....

uhm I don't see Hebrew as that since It didn't exist prior to Abraham.abraham is a Syrian then gets the call and becomes a Hebrew. Hebrew is a modified form of the older Chaldean. Syrian, Assyrian , Babylonian all are related. this isn't including the other cannanites that are similar in tounge to Hebrew.

That's how I am too. If they make a point of wanting to pay, hey, why argue about it? They must want to so let them. Even guy friends. Sometime guy friends will feign to want to pay or chip in gas money or something, expecting to be turned down. I don't turn them down, I agree fast, lol. Teaches them to keep their big mouth shut, lol.

As far as who pays.....it all depends.If the guys asks a woman out he should pay.

Really?! Wow. I've been asked out by quite a few girls in my lifetime. I should have let them pay, lol. That would put me in the position of expecting though and I don't like to be there. It's a nice thought though!
