Like many others on this forum - if they're being honest - I would have to say "yes."

Then again ...just what IS the definition of a 'hot' Christian and WHO is qualified to determine WHO is an 'on fire' Christian anyway? I mean, is someone 'on fire' because they can quote the scriptures like a theologian but have no time for the filthy sinner? Or is one 'on fire' because they accept filthy sinners 'as is' just as did Jesus? What?

everyone has their onw version of what being a GOOD christian is. anyone that fulfills their own version, is better than someone that looks and says "wow, i should be doing this or that or this, but...... lazy" (by better i mean closer to god)

if you try with all of your love and intelligence to be a good Christian, than, you are by default, a good christian.

Until God tells us otherwise, or gives us an easy to follow bible, that is explicit in its directions, No one christian is better than anyone else christian, except in their own opinions, and then they themselves, are judging people, and not letting god do it.

We are all equals. The man who wishes to be with god first shall be the last. The man who does good and puts others before himself will be the first before god.

Secondly. Everyone who thinks they are higher than others will be humbled. Everyone who is humble will be lifted high. We are all equals as Jesus taught us.

As a last note, Jesus washed his deciples feet for preperartion for the passover. He said that this was a great lesson for them. Everyone is equal, neither master nor servant is higher. And we should all behave humbly and kindly towards each other.

It seems that fire for the Lord is so messed up. You cannot mesuer this by asking them.

The Bible is telling clearly what it takes to follow Jesus but most of don't know what it takes to follow Him. Most of us have our own ideas instead of what the Bible says.

I would say that nobody knows for certain exactly how they should be following Jesus. It's just that some are more honest about this than others.

I second that. For one thing, I will never be on fire for Christianity! I’m not in love with Religion! What I’m in love with is Jesus Christ. To me Christianity is not about following a set of rules or doing some rituals. Christianity is about a relationship with God.

In order to be a Christian one must confess that they are a sinner and in need of a savior. After repentance they must accept Jesus Christ for what the Bible says about Him. They must accept his sacrifice on the cross and believe that He rose on their behalf.

In my opinion there is no such as a “luke worm Christian,†one is either fully a Christian or not one at all. Either one accepts Jesus Christ completely as their savior or one does not accept Him at all. There is no middle ground in that respect and one who thinks otherwise is surely mistaken.

Something that my youth pastor did once that bring alot of this to light. He gave each of us a piece of paper and a pen and asked to us to write ourselves a letter from GOD(may sound strange but try it). What do you think GOD would say to you if he actually did write you a letter. Would he praise your efforts for him or would it begin "It's been a while since I've heard from you". Would he have to ask you why you weren't carrying through on the promises you made with him? It may sound stupid or childist but I promise once you start it's a real eye opener.

I think that He did do that in your Thread question. Revelation 3:16-17

He wrote the possibility of a 'Lukewarm' Love describing my Love for Christ! We call it the 'first love', right? Being on fire for Him is another description. Fervent Love! The Bible as a whole is His Love letter to us! Matthew 4:4.

So my letter from Christ as His [documented] Word tells me, is that from a scale of say 1-10 after being Born Again, there is more hope for a cold love than for the lukewarm sickening kind of love.

And for any to know the temperature of our 'individual' love? we can tell by the reason that things get done! Feeling or excitement, is not how one should judge Love by. True Agape Love is a mature moral PRINCIPLE! And yes, again, it is based on... "IF YE LOVE ME KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS." As simple as that! If we do not or will not keep the Eternal Commandments of the Godhead, and with the right Motive of LOVE? Then we can rest assured that we will be 'spewed out' in the judgement.

Yet, this was not an individual being talked of in this letter from Christ, but a whole church denomination with pure doctrines. Compare Revelation 2:5 with Laodicea. How could any one in Love with Christ, and with a required First Love, stay yoked in membership with this fold? They could not!
