If you consistently stand up for what you believe in, some religious leaders will accuse you of being a troublemaker. Does that make you a troublemaker?

Do you remember how Jesus complained about religious leaders in his day? I believe he referred to them as "hypocrites." Have they improved since the days of Jesus?

What is your opinion to the questions you ask in your OP in A&T?

Yes I stand up for what I believe in, if it at all is received in a spirit of peace. I suppose that does make me a troublemaker. The hypocrites do seem to be worser today than they were in Jesus day. I read the bible and marvel at how well people treated and respected each other back then. Even enemies would speak with respect to each other.

I will vehemently stand up for my beliefs with a spirit of peace, but if it turns hostile or is not well received, then I tend to quite down and shake the dust off my feet so to speak. The best thing that we can do is to speak more testimony and less doctrine, especially to these types.

I will always stand up for truth and never compromise my beliefs as the truth needs to be spoken, but as Edward said, in the spirit of peace. If that makes me a troublemaker in the eyes of others, so be it. Honey attracts more flies than vinegar.

it is right that the believers be careful in the faith to not be wrong in regard to anything therein, but if someone is not absolutely sure in Jesus Christ about something, then it would be good that the same avoid to opine when there is a risk of deceiving

Blessings

I can make trouble without even standing up for something. :biggrin2

For example, at work. If, after the lunch break is over, I don't stand up and return to work, but lay down and sleep :sleep, I probably get in a lot of trouble. :blackeye

no, that would be a government employee on union break.

Rom 12:18 KJV If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Sometimes it isn't up to us though.

I interact with more Christians online than I do in person. I always pray before posting online about the Lord. So that I don't accidentally deceive someone. I didn't always, but do now because somehow I tend to stir the pot by touching on far out subjects at times. I don't think that it totally stops me from ever being wrong however and on really touchy subjects which are probable to ruffle feathers, i pray a lot about them and continually study them as much as possible. Some things that I have been told about that I am absolutely wrong (by Christians) I have not been told by the Lord that I am wrong about or been shown...I simply can not back down from until such time as the Lord shows me I should. I know that some do not like me for these beliefs, and I marvel that one could base like/dislike on someones beliefs. One day at a time.
