I agree with that completely. I read a saying once, forget where I seen it but it stuck. It goes like this; Life is 10% what it hands to you, and 90% how you react to it.
Your ability to react to life in one way or the other is part of what is handed to you.
Ask anyone with a mental illness and they may agree with that oh so profound statement and punch you the next moment. Because your wisdom makes no change for them.

Well it angered me because it's true, but out of reach for me. Outlook/ attitude are a result of your past life experience, and it's hard to change them. Thus those wise phrases make me feel even more like a failure because I can't do what they suggest.
Trials are usually less than seven years. Tribulations are more than seven years. Trials produce patients, so count it as all joy. Tribulations produce perseverance, that produce character, that produce hope. All Christians will be tested. Take refuge and seek the Kingdom of God first.Is something that happens for years still a trial?
