Are You Kidding Me

Aww, nuts. :tongue

Seriously, I'd be suing for a free reattachment STAT, plus emotional damages. And I would not take "no" or "we can't do that" for an answer. I want my goods back, now. There is no "or else."
I am sure there would be plenty of attorneys wishing to help :)

That surgeon has a lot of explaining to do. I don't see how the hospital can call the complaint "non-meritorious". I noticed something in the video that I didn't understand. If you pause it at 0:35 and again at 0:53 you can see the phrase "named and fictitious defendants". Who are these "fictitious defendants"?

I think they capped malpractice suits a while back...remember that media blitz (funded by docs) about how lawsuits increase the cost of care? Yeah...well...

A wife involved? She is either very sad or elated. :mischief

I was going to say something about his wife being "friendly" with the doctor, but that's probably not a good idea, so I won't mention any possibilities like her being behind the whole thing.

:blush Without medical necessity. So this hospital can't even claim that the alleged infection gave cause for the amputation.
You just can't get that wrong. There's not enough money to assuage this man's loss. But there's sure enough millions and millions of good faith efforts in future I'm sure.

That's what happens when you have Gentiles do this instead of a Mohel.
Yeah, that's it. :confused

Before you go into surgery you sign a release. That release will contain everything that could go wrong.I don't if that is the case here.

Somehow I doubt that release in this case said; And when you awaken from the chemical coma, you'll have left your mister at the door. :gavel I could be wrong.

I don't know they are pretty thorough about listing all that could happen. That is so they can not be sued :neutral

I can understand avoiding liability. But in this case, I can't imagine there would be a loophole that would let this hospital off. This man is ruined for life because someone with a scalpel thought they should amputate his penis. When the patient was there for a circumcision. To go from slicing foreskin to slicing the whole thing is a big oopsie. But something had to give that surgeon cause.
I'm wondering what that was. Because surgeons are very thorough in reading the intake forms so they know what they're going to be doing to a body on their table.
