at least the billionaire$ are doing well

govt the less power given ,the better .ya can't count on it during the pandemic ,a freak storm ,or riots

without sufficient regulation, profits and power in capitalism move upstream, to the rich and the very rich. that leaves a Gilded Age -type situation, in which the masses are barely above starvation, while a select few profit off labor, rents, goods and services, etc.

im not looking for a massive commune (LOL), just...some regulation, please. :)

might think otherwise with the ruling of the Scotus.

the problem is

1.most and if not the majority of lotto players are on welfare or collect as
2.if you do win ,your money is taxed .
3.the money you wasted on winning would work better in investing
4.getting rich might involve several bankruptcies ,just ask col Sanders who after 23 failures finally made it and died 10 years later .
4.the paradigm of social nets often fails to deal with greed a spiritual issue
5.money borrowed to fund a fraction of health care or wars, the left loves interventionalism and war just as much as the right ,trump was a break from that
6.said savings in fiat money is useless
7.you could liquidate all the billionaires and never pay a trillion in that debt
9.the federal reserve is owned and operated by the bankers and works for them not Congress
9.the safety. net laws are argued as a tax to the Scotus,to us a promise of aid because of the constitution
10.you nor I are promised any safety net money per the Scot us ruling on it .

11.declare bankruptcy and you will learn thst you can't avoid tax debts ,make enough like I do ,and you learn to play the laws in your favor ,work less ,invest wisely and or pay off the irs.

And our Capital looks like the Green Zone in Iraq.........pathetic. Biden lets foreigners pour in over the border yet places a border around our very government that American citizens can't cross. "Mr Gorbachev (Bidenchev) please tear down that wall."

Didn't anyone consider how much the wealthy lost when the economy took a hit last February through November? Most of the wealth being spoken of is tied to the stock market. That's because they are heavily invested and this is what drives businesses and provides for working capital. Yes, they do it with the hopes of gaining wealth but there are no guarantees.

I have been seeing it in my own retirement account. I'm no billionaire but my retirement account's value, which is my source of income for the rest of my life, hinges on the stock market. When it is doing well, my account values increase. When it is doing poorly like it was February - November, my account value suffers.

In February, the stock market took a 27% hit. My account values, which are invested a bit more conservatively, lost about 15%. Had my accounts not recovered, I would have had to take a cut in pay or if not run out of money some time in the future.

You should be happy to know then that those billionaires also lost and, like me, they didn't recover back to where they were until November. Right now, my account value has been doing much better and that gives me some breathing room because without any doubt, sooner or later, the market will drop again and I need to be able to weather that storm when it comes or I could be in trouble again.

People say the wealthy investors are greedy pigs and many are. But I say, we all fit that description. Scripture addresses this. Many think these Scriptures speak only about the rich but it speaks to all of us, rich and poor alike. Those who have or the wealthy, desire to protect what they have worked for. Those who do not have or the poor or middle class, desire and covet what others have. So then, who is the more greedy? Those that put everything on the line in the hopes of reaping gain or those that feel they deserve what the risk takers have gained?

Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:

“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”

James 4:1-6 NKJV

Then one from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” But He said to him, “Man, who made Me a judge or an arbitrator over you?” And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.
Luke 12:13-15 NKJV

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5 NKJV

But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Ephesians 5:3-5 NKJV

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience.
Colossians 3:5-6 NKJV

Notice that the last two references I posted relate coveting and idolatry for that is what coveting is. It is idolatry. Trust God, do not worry, and let Him deal with the rich. It is not our place to judge.
