atheism - anti religion

....and if they had considered GOD to be real or still do, who can redefine the term 'atheist' to match the changes in meaning?

So what could be wrong with those atheists who had considered God to be real or who consider HIM to be real and yet....they have remained unchanged about GOD, and keep saying bad about Christianity or even publicly saying: there is no GOD? Do they have problem with the common phrase, '...believe by faith'
Yes, to them anything backed by faith is foolish. They tend to want to seek tangible proof.

I would say that while we have Christian historians and scientists who defend Christianity in these areas, Christianity still does require something of a leap of faith. It's what God asks for more than anything else. Our head can always be persuaded towards a particular ideology. But one can never forget being touched by the love of a living God--through all my doubts, that's what I hold onto. The experiences I've had with God as my best friend and closest confidant.

Understand--I'm not anti-research. I love science, history is important, and I think apologetics in those areas serve a necessary purpose.
