I used to... but not any more.

Besides, I'd be terrified of the drop bears!
Accent is cool though!
I'm not sure of that connection. Looking at history, religion, even Christianity had been used to justify all kinds of wars and atrocities. I'm not saying that religion causes war and violence, but let's not be fooled into thinking that religion causes peace either.America is safer, having more religious people than Autralia. Autralia has more atheists.
BTW, it was not my intetion to turn a light-hearted thread into something more serious. But I think it was important to make my point.
How is it political manipulation of figres? I have simply stated statistics and the conclusions are logical and obvious. Check out my sources, which are very reliable - CIA, FBI, ABS, Geneva.Wow! Wonderful analysis. (Looks like a political manipulation of figures.) I'm not saying it's wrong.
It would depend on the figures used. Some may only be for permenant residents, others, like the homicide rates would be for everyone who commited homicide in that country. Not that it matters - you claimed that the US is safer than Australia. I presented homicide figures that seem to say otherwise. In this case, it does not matter how many people enter and leave the US or Australia. The problem is, many people visit and leave the States more often. Are those based on typical Americans, i.e. resident Americans?
What are you saying here?In spite of that, US has more NO of religious people (not just born again Christians) than Australia.
I mean it is easier to live a christian life in USA than in Australia.America is safer, having more religious people than Autralia.

less people smoke less people die from murders. We have a few deadly critter things around but you never see them.America is safer, having more religious people than Autralia. Autralia has more atheists.
I am unsure, I have never been to the US. Have you been to Australia? And lived here?By:

What do you mean? This is just data collected.I saw the links, I'm not saying they are wrong (just that the figure seems a political one).
Nor has Australia.Although America is drifting away from Christianity, it has not completely drifted away.
:D:D:DDon't worry bout the atheists they are just potential Christians.

Here are some facts and figures, from the CIA.
United States
Population: 313,847,465
Percentage of population with affiliated religion "none": 4%
Australia
Population: 22,015,576
Percentage of population with affiliated religion "none": 18:7%
My rought estimate in the actual number of athiests puts the US on 15 million and Australia on about 1 million. (rough rounded estimate)
So even though the US has almost a quarter less of its population athiests than Australia, in terms of actual numbers, the US has more athiests by 15x.
Let's take a look at the homicide rates, per 100,000.
The global average is 7.6 in 2004, according to the Geneva Declaration on Armed Violence and Development, 2004.
Australia 1.16 (2010, http://www.ausstats.abs.gov.au/auss...8BCDCF9DCA2578B700119690/$File/45100_2010.pdf, page 12, Australian Buero of Statistics)
US 4.8 (2010, http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2010/crime-in-the-u.s.-2010/tables/10tbl01.xls, FBI)
