Huh?
There were seven churches in Asia (now called Turkey) the reference to 7 hills is a direct reference to Rome...it was built on 7 hills with the valleys all being swamps.
Constantinople was a city long after any of the prophecy was written. I'm not exactly sure how you got to there.

The three kingdoms that were subdued by the little horn of Daniel 7:24 are the Heruli, Vandals, and Ostrogoths who were eliminated by the year 538 AD under the leadership of the Eastern Roman Emperor Justinian whose deadly wound came in 1798.

Seven remaining nations that still exist today:

Babylonian Empire:
(Iraq) The lion represents the winged lions that guarded the royal places of Babylon.

Medo – Persian Empire:
(Iran) The ribs of the bear are part of the consuming greed that devours the first empire.

Grecian Empire:
(Greece, Turkey, Syria, Egypt) Four wings of the leopard described the swiftness of this empire that ran from 334-331BC. It wrestled world dominion from Medo-Persia. After the death of Alexander the Great the kingdom was divided into four minor kingdoms that continued as prominent factors in world politics until the Roman Empire gathered it back as one kingdom.

Roman Empire: (little horn, Daniel 8:9-14, 23-27)
Iron represents the stronghold this nation had. Daniel chapter 2 mentions the iron element of this empire that it to will be divided and broken as God will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed.

The crowns on its heads show that this dragon claims royal authority against the true King who is God of all creation as he prepares to take his seat above all that which is Gods Kingdom claiming he is God as he prepares to deceive the world through that of an existing Roman Empire, Daniel 8:9-12; Isaiah 14:12-15.

There it is again you, not I, that is bringing up the papacy and the Pope that I have never mentioned.
Please.
Just because you didn't use the word "pope" does not mean that you were not clearly and specifically referring to the pope in you post #8 where you said:
"It's not a mystery who Babylon was back in it's founding up to present day as scripture gives us the clues of what was, what is and what is yet to come and the deadly wound that came in 1798 with General Berthier of France and Mussolini healed the wound in 1929."

That is standard fare for those who have a need to justify their hatred for the pope.

It's yours.
Own it.

Yes it's mine and I do own it. Even you admit it is Rome, even in John's day according to your post #7 so you are the one who mentioned the Pope placing that thought now possibly in the minds of others in your post #9, 15, 17, 25, so thank you for that as maybe others will study a little deeper.

Daniel Chapter 7-9 and Rev Chapter 17 gives full detail of mystery Babylon the great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the Earth as in who the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. She will be taking her seat on the very Temple Mount, which is now occupied by the Dome of the Rock, but will be handed over to her during the peace treaty made with the Muslims.

hello JohnDB, dirtfarmer here

Constantine changed the city that went by Byzantium into Constantinople. Byzantium was colonized by the Greeks in 657 B.C.
Does prophecy have to be written about an existing city or can it also be about a future city?

You mentioned the "seven churches in Asia (now called Turkey); was not Revelation written to the seven churches in Asia( Turkey as we know it today)?

Please.
You know exactly who you were talking about.
You are fooling no one.

Jim, I'm not fooling anyone, but showing what is already written in the scriptures and giving the history with it. It is only you who has taken offense and mention the Pope, where as I never did. You really need to let this go and move on. As long as I am not coming against the ToS I will give what I believe just as you give what you believe.

Oh! OK
Then exactly who are you saying is the beast whose head wound was healed?

Rev 13:1-4
John saw a beast (beast is often referred to as nations in scripture) rise up out of the sea having seven heads and ten horns and upon his horns ten crowns, (crowns denotes Kings) and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

The beast rises up out of the sea as the sea here is symbolic of people and nations as in a sea of humanity, Daniel Chapter 7:1-8; Revelation 17:15. This beast is the Luciferians political, economic and false religious system (revived Roman Empire) who gives its power and authority to the beast out of the earth who is the false prophet (son of perdition) who will cause a great falling away, but will be consumed by the spirit of the mouth of Christ when He returns, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12; Rev 19:11-21.

The seven heads are that of the Babylonian Empire, Medo/Persian Empire and Grecian Empire and Roman Empire. The ten horns represent the nations the Roman Empire scattered to when the deadly wound was put upon them, Daniel 7:23-25. The deadly wound came in 1798 when General Berthier of France captured Pope Pius VI, who soon died in captivity in Valence, on August 29, 1799. The deadly wound was healed in 1929 by Mussolini.

Seven of these nations are the ancestors of the modern nations of Europe.

These ten nations were the Anglo-Saxons (English), the Franks (French), Suevi (Portuguese), Visigoths (Spanish), Burgundians (Swiss), Alemanni (Germans), Lombards (Italians), Ostrogoths, Heruli, and the Vandals in northern Africa. The last three being Ostrogoths, Heruli, and the Vandals had already been destroyed by the Roman Empire before their deadly wound came in 1798.

whatever
That does not answer the question.
So, please tell me; exactly who are you saying is the beast whose head wound was healed?
Identify the person.

Yeah. I got that same line from a 7th Day Adventist grammar school dropout who also was sure it referred to the pope.
And, FYI, the Vandals were not deatroyed by the Roman Empire. They took North Africa from the Romans Empire and then invaded Italy and sacked Rome in 455AD.

In 429, under king Genseric (reigned 428-477), the Vandals entered North Africa. By 439 they established a kingdom which included the Roman province of Africa as well as Sicily, Corsica, Sardinia, Malta and the Balearic Islands. They fended off several Roman attempts to recapture the African province, and sacked the city of Rome in 455. Their kingdom collapsed in the Vandalic War of 533–4, in which Emperor Justinian I's forces managed to reconquer the province for the Eastern Roman Empire.

Moderators feel free to delete this part as it is history, but possibly against the ToS.

The abomination of desolation in Matthew 24:15 was 1260 years (a year is as a day with the Lord) of Papal Rome rule from 538AD with Emperor Justinian’s decree and under the military protection of Belisarius and the Pope until the deadly wound came in 1798 by General Berthier who made his entrance into Rome and abolished the papal government and established a secular one. This is also confirmed in Revelation 12:6 the church of Jesus would hide in the wilderness for exactly 1260 days (years) or 3 ½ years. This was the time when Rome persecuted the Christians and killed them which were around 500 million saints slain for the cause of their faith in Jesus. 1798 – 538 = 1260 days/years. Napoleon had closed down the Catholic Church and the Papacy, its power was thought to be forever broken. The wound was largely healed in 1929 when Mussolini gave the Vatican back to the Pope and established it as a country in it's own right in the Lateran Treaty. Today the Vatican has formal diplomatic relations with almost every country in the world.

So, you see? It wasn't all that hard to say you were talking about the pope now was it?
So, basing your posts on that anti-Catholic polemic, you have finally admitted to your Catholic-bashing.
That's all I was asking for.

Jim, If I was Catholic bashing that would mean I am bashing 3/4 of my own relatives as my mother was raised Catholic. My direct is the Pope, but worse is that of who controls all his actions. He is nothing more than a man like any other man, but is addressed as the Holy Father and all are to bow down to him and even kiss his ring and that is blasphemy to God. God said to call no man Holy Father as there is only one which is in heaven who is the Holy Father being God of all creation.
