April's Third Annual Christmas In July Celebration has been temporarily delayed and possibly canceled. I just had my heart broken by somebody who I thought was my best friend but has apparently just left me without even stating a reason or telling me goodbye. Sorry for the inconvenience. :crying

Oh look. Keep the money. Buy yourself an ice cream on Dependence Day.

You know, funnily enough you actually are starting to cheer me up a bit, but what's going on here? I thought you didn't like me.

I might need to change my username. As humility is not my forte.

Has somebody left us?
April put your smiley face on and get your Christmas in July started. :)

If I started it,.. would anybody actually want to come to it?

We all have what we call a core wound from childhood. For most people it is abandonment, neglect or even abuse. Mine is rejection. My mom told me once she did not like me and I had no friends in school. Today, when I get rejected, I go to a dark place for awhile. Then I remember how much God loves me and has been there for me my whole life and I get over it.

I have also discovered that God is behind some of the rejections. Their heart has been hardened because even though I did not see it at the time, they were not right for me. Also when God takes something away he always replaces it with something BETTER. So after grieving a short while, I start getting excited about what is coming next.

I used to analyze what went wrong and usually blame myself. Now I just trust God and move on. I wait for the window to open and the sun to coming shining through.

Advice about relationships from an old woman . . .

P.S. If they won't tell you why it is because they either don't know why or they are hiding something. I used to think if I knew why I could change and get them back. But maybe I fine the way I am and this is there lack of character.

Best friends come and go and hurts will go away as a faded memory, but parties are forever that brings joy and laughter so get your party on sis. WOOT WOOT
