Your caption at the bottom of your comments is awesome!
reminds me a little bit of the Matthew West song in which he sings, "I am a child of the One True King!:"

When John the baptist talks about the two baptisms, he talks about the judgement of fire.

Is the baptism of the holy spirit salvation, and the fire baptism the contrasting judgement?

I am a little reluctant to get into this thread. I think I will give it my best though (mind - flesh).

There are three baptisms when we get to the kingdom teaching (starting with John).
1. Water baptism of repentance (John's baptism)
2. Baptism into Jesus (eternal life)
3. Holy Spirit baptism (the power to be witnesses). This may include several areas.

Isaiah 8:19
And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?

This roughly is the tongues of the Gentiles (before they became Christians). There was no interpretation of God's marvelous works to go with this. This is the tongues that tended to give problems. (IMHO Corinthians was an instruction letter to them to teach Jewish correct tongues and interpretation (Daniel and the writing on the wall as one example). The Jewish prophets manifested the spiritual gifts over time, but the Gentiles had to be taught that madness was not Godliness.

When evil false doctrine creeps into the church you have to address that today (letters to the seven churches of Revelation ).

No fear of true spiritual gifts. Being able to discern good and evil is needed (a spiritual gift beyond our flesh).

More later.

I agree.

Three Baptisms.

Jesus taught 3.

Paul taught 3.

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Unless you quibble over words I reckon Peter believed in three.

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The baptism of John (repentance) will not save you. The baptism of Holy Spirit will not save you (empower yes). The one name that saves is Jesus.

We sinned against the Father (who demands a penalty for sin). The Father sent the son to deal with sin. John 3:16 . The baptism of belief (?).

The Son died for our sins and bore stripes for our healing I Peter 2:24 .

The Holy Spirit strives against the flesh (that is striving against the spirit). We do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit does know how to intercede with groaning too deep for words. Sounds like dross removal.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire is for Christians to be empowered by the Spirit.

It is not Gods judgement on them.

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Acts 1:4-5

3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:3-4

The disciples were filled with the Spirit and fire, as tongues of fire sat upon them.

God is an all consuming fire.

Note the divided tongues of fire. Any chance one side is for the flesh and the other for the spirit of the mind? Romans 7:25

Psalms 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou artwith me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Jude 1:20
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

I Corinthians 9:8
Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?

I Timothy 1:8
But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
