Re: Christian Cursing
WoW!!! you posted something I agree with and is powerful and true................... You never hear me say Grief is good, never hear me say I laughed so hard I almost died laughing............. Even my own 6 year old daughter, I never one time tell her to look both ways before crossing the street because a car can hit and kill you. That will never be the outcome, and if my daughter forgets to look, My God will see her across safely.
Jesus statement comes from this.....
Deu_30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
We choose by actions or words. What we choose is kept record of and we even as believers will have to given an account. We bring good, or bad things into our life because we have what we say, believing it.
Idle words are dormant, non working until they are worked. They just come out of your mouth without thinking, and are words that you actually believe. Jesus takes this statement and tells us that what we believe in our heart is important, guard your heart, don't fill yourself up with junk that will cause you to just blurt out unbelief.
I don't know how we can get these bills paid is contrary to the Word of God. It's taking thought, when we ought to agree that God supply's our needs. Even my own son, I stood by this principle, and never once said he was sick or would die. I knew that I would have to give permission with my own mouth or actions for the devil to get that place to kill him. No matter how bad it looked, I never spoke or took an opposite position from what God said.
Awesome Post!!!!!
Mike.
According to these verses of Scripture, we, as Christians, need to be very careful with our mouths because we will one day give account to God. Most Christians are aware of the fact that God expects them to live holy lives. Likewise, most God-fearing Christians have learned to abstain from swearing and from the use of common profanity. I haven't met many faithful Christians who have a problem with worldly cursing. However, I have met MANY Christians who have stumbled into the Devil's trap and taken up a whole different kind of cursing. Keep reading, friend, because you just might need to "tune up" your vocabulary!
