The Word of God is a miracle book. It is the only book that has ever been written that can transform the lives of men. The classic literature of renowned authors will not cchange you. But when you read the Gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John, it will give you a new nature and a new vocabulary. Ther's no other book on planet earth that will begin to do that. When you read the Bible, it makes the sinner forsake his way. It has the power to break the fetters of sin. It delivers from the fear of death and dying. It takes the gloom from the grave and gives a hope that is steadfast and sure. The thrill of this Book is greater than any drug or earthly pleasure.
The authority of this Word gives you authority as a believer to live in victory on this earth. What you bind on earth is bound in heaven; what you loose on earth is loosed in heaven ( Matt. 18:18). You have authority to lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover ( Mark 16:18). You have authority to cast out demons with a word ( Matt. 8:16). You have authority to stand in the evil day and win ( Eph 6:13). You can do what this Book says you can do. You can have what this Book says yiu can have. You are what the Book says you are. You are a child of the King, and your sins have been forgiven and buried in the deepest sea. You have eternal life and a mansion prepared for you in heaven. The royal blood of heaven is flowing in your veins. You are loved by God. You can change the gates of hell with a water pistol and win, because the Word of God endures forever.
