I hope this guy didn't mind me taking his picture while he was having lunch. It's not as sharp as I'd like it to be, but I didn't have a tripod and the bee kept moving. I didn't notice until I got home and looked at the picture, but it has something on it's back. Anybody have any idea what it might be?

That orange spot is just the way it's supposed to look (I think). I was talking about the little pieces of something (eggs? pollen?) behind the orange spot. Barbarian is a biology teacher. Maybe he knows.

Well, I did ask what "it" was, and not what "they" are, like I should have, so it's understandable.

That is a really cool pic.Very detailed.I wonder what those little balls are?
 
Is it possible these are pictures of new technology drones in subterfuge? We've all heard the term "Sheep in wolves clothing;" how easily we're persuaded nature is not being used against us. Cameras on bumble bees? What's next? Oh the humanity huh? :)

I don't know about a drone, but it could be a bug.
