Hey,

How is it going Christians? I haven't posted or replied lately in this forum but sometimes I do.

You all know me of my continuous worries about the mark of the beast things, technology, world's status... anything. I apologize of my bothering you with these things but I've got an anxiety disorder and even a little thing makes me very anxious but I'd like to thank everyone of you that have replied and made me feel better.

I've got a dream, to become a strong Christian that isn't afraid of the beast things either technology. I have always believed in Christ but sometimes my belief won't last long and I'd REALLY want become a Born again Christian and survive the temptations that I face everyday. Still, I'm very afraid of the beast things and I'm scared of the technology that's rising ultimately fast but I won't bother you with these things anymore because I've found the answer already... I've got to seek Jesus Christ because he's the only one that can help me out.

But, I need your help & tips to find the Christ. How can I find him and become a born again Christian.

I'm sorry for my broken English :p

Sincerely,
Ben. God bless you :pray

Hey, I'm confused also, haha :p but I mean that I'm a Christian and I've became more Christian every single day but sometimes I feel like Satan is trying to convict me that there's no Religion. It's hard to explain but let's say I'm a Christian but it's hard to stay at there.

If you are sincerely trying to find Christ, examine the Book of 1Kings.

Compare what you read with all trhe story passed down since 32AD, especially in the NT:

What do think here about this Chrsit you look for?

1) Both Elijah and Christ raisedthe dead:

1 Kings 17:22 And the LORD heard thevoice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

John 12:1 Then Jesus six days beforethe Passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom heraised from the dead.

2) Both Elijah, who never dies, and Christ were immortal:

2 Kings 2:1 And it came to pass, whenthe LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went withElisha from Gilgal

John 20:25 The other disciplestherefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except Ishall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

3) Both Elijah and Christ ascendedinto Heaven before witnesses:

Luke 24:51 And it came to pass, whilehe blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven

1 Kings 18:17 And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?

Matthew 2:3 When Herod the king hadheard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

5) Both Elijah and Christ werethreatened by the authorities with death:

1 Kings 19:14 And he said, I havebeen very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israe lhave forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I even I only am left; and they seek my life, to take it away

John 11:53 Then from that day forththey took counsel together for to put him to death

6) Both Elijah and Christ werehunted by the Jewish authorities:

John 7:25 Then said some of them ofJerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?

7) Both Elijah and Christ hid in acave/tomb:

1 Kings 19:9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and hesaid unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?

Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

1 Kings 19:8 And he arose, and dideat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God

Matthew 4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

10) Both Elijah and Christ let aperson follow them across the water:

2 Kings 2:14 And he took the mantleof Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither andthither: and Elisha went over

Interesting parallels, some of them, but Elijah isn't Jesus and Jesus isn't Elijah.

Benjamin,

Try as much as you can to read the Bible and pray. God promises if you seek him with all your heart you will find him.

Hi Benjamin,

Salvation means to be whole mind, body and soul as we surrender our will to God and allow his will to work in our lives by applying Gods word to every aspect of our lives. This allows us to know the mind of Christ and all the promises of God for our own well being so we can face anything that tries to come against us while here on this earth so we can triumph and be victorious through the grace and mercy of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Grace pardons us and mercy loves us unconditionally. Satan's only purpose is to keep us from the love of God by trying to steal our faith from us which is Christ Jesus and Satan can only do this if we allow him to.

John 10:9 I am the door, if any man enter in, he shall be saved.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Romans 10:9, 10 if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in his heart that God has raised him from the dead thou shall be saved. Vs.10 for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Benjamin, Jesus just wants us to come boldly to His throne of grace, not only in times of trouble, but to just sit and talk with him, but not only talk, but to also be still long enough to hear and allow him to speak. It's nothing more than just spending time with him as you would your best friend here on earth.

I have a word teaching website that you might want to go look at as I have a teaching on Salvation and the Holy Spirit that might help you understand better, but have your Bible ready to study the scriptures I give so you can learn by asking the Holy Spirit to give you understanding. The teachings are to long and in-depth to post in forums, but I do use snippets in the forums.

To broadly mention this to everyone, Elijah was a "type" of Christ, perhaps, but in the physical realm. I'm not convinced he is in heaven, if by that you mean the abode of God. Rather he was just taken up and the sky is often referred to as heaven, but like Enoch, we don't really know where he went. He may have reappeared later on after that event. And like Enoch, he died at some point.

Back to the OP, the issue does seem to be with your anxiety, as I had similar situations when I was younger 35 years ago. I think when one is "born again" as it is commonly called, I noticed too often that the person wants to make sure they "came to Christ" as if it's their decision. Actually, it's the other way around. God comes to us (as in predestination), but then we have the option to choose or reject it (as in free choice).

What I am saying is summarized as thus:

1) God does the calling, but without his calling nobody can even come to Christ (John 6:44)
2) Along that line of thought (and in the next verse), if God calls people, it stands to reason he has a time for it, on His own time, just as we were scheduled for physical birth.
3) Every person who has ever lived, who is, or will exist will eventually be called for salvation, if they haven't been already, to which they have to answer. So don't worry. Everyone will be given a chance. (2 Peter 3:9) :yes

I know when one's wrapped up in anxiety that sometimes things don't sink in right away, and words like mine may offer temporary ease, but then the next morning it's back to worrying again. I know. Been there, done that. But the crux of what I am saying is that it all comes out good in the end, as nobody will go to that lake of fire unless they allow it themselves. And the way I eventually got out of my fearfulness was to take control of my own thoughts, stopped worry about what others thought or said about me, and to study God's word. As a matter of fact, I discovered by that study that a lot of my spiritual fears were not grounded in scripture, and what most ministries were teaching me was not scriptural, either. Once I found out that the "right" advice was really "wrong" and focused more on the bible, this fear started to vanish.

From the things I hear you saying, you have a your work cut out for you, as I do see your fears are not based in reality.
