Benny Hinn

Benny Hinn: I'm telling you. People will be - people - I'm telling you, I feel the anointing talking here. People are going to be canceling funeral services and bringing their dead in their caskets, placing them - my God! I feel the anointing here - placing them before a television set, waiting for God's power to come through and touch them. And it's going to happen time and time - so much it's going to spread. You're going to hear it from Kenya to Mexico to Europe to South America, where people will be raised from the - so much so that the word will spread that if some dead person be put in front of this TV screen, they will be raised from the dead and they will be by the thousands. You wait. Now the Lord just told me - and I don't know whether this is true or not - as I'm saying this, the Lord said He gave you that word many, many years ago.

Paul Crouch: I have said that, yes. Benny Hinn: I don't remember you saying that to me ever.

Paul Crouch: No, I didn't.

Benny Hinn: [He said] 'I've told him this already.'

Paul Crouch: Yeah, the Lord spoke that to me in the very beginning of TBN and I didn't really -

Jan Crouch: And I had a dream.

Benny Hinn: You had a dream.

Paul Crouch: Yeah, tell him about that little -

Jan Crouch: That's just a dream - people were being raised from the dead. Years ago.

Paul Crouch: It's on tape. I said the day is coming -

Benny Hinn: I see quite something amazing. I see rows of caskets lining up in front of this TV set and I see them bringing them closer to the TV set and as people are coming closer I see actually loved ones picking up the hands of the dead and letting them touch the screen and people are getting raised as their hands are touching that screen.

...With this program - I'm not talking about my program - I'm talking programs, plain programs aired - the glory of God will be so on TBN that there's going to be divine resurrection happening as people bring their loved ones to the TV set.

Paul Crouch: Just because it's His time.

Benny Hinn: It's His time. Now here's something else I see. Jesus, I give You praise for this, I give You praise for this, I give You praise for this - the day will come, Paul - and I pray you'll be here. I pray the Lord will allow you to be here and see it. I mean, physically be here. You're in your 60s now. But the day is going to come when the gifts of the Holy Spirit will so intensify in the church that young children will be watching TBN and signs and wonders will begin to take place through them. Impartations of the Spirit will come to them. A little child that knows nothing about the gifts, knows nothing about the anointing, knows nothing about the power of God, will be imbued with power from on high as a child, as that TV set comes on, and will go out like fire torches to their schools and their playgrounds and their families. I see children, I see children, what looks like fire in their lips spreading - but I see these kids touching the TV set, receiving it, and going out and spreading it. And it's going to happen with children in the U.S., Canada, all over the world. And I do see people being raised from the dead here, but I see masses of them overseas.

scary...creepy...heresy that is listened to and believed...not good :sad

Honestly, I'm not so sure about him. Like (I don't support him) he even said many times Jesus will appear physicaly to the muslim world, and in his meatings. Didn't the Bible say jesus won't come back till hsi second coming. he also said this was before his second coming. And it would happen many times

He was suggesting something like: "How can someone be accused of
necromancy as long as it is visible to all that God left his hair intact"

...mmmh, maybe Benny uses the same force on his hair he used on a
older woman that fell backwards, and died from the complications of it?

Views on this fellow anyone?

I met Benny Hinn on a few occasions when he came to Stockholm, Sweden, back around '77-'78 or so. I was playing in the worship band at the time.

He hadn't reached the current heights of stardom but signs of big things to come were evident to all of us. I remember being most impressed with his shoes. They had plexiglass heels.

He hadn't married his wife yet, which is probably why he ran up a sizeable phone bill for my church calling her every night...

I wouldn't say that he operates in evil, but I do think that when a ministry becomes that commercialized, the teachings can be as well.

You mean one can teach evil doctrines, but not actually be evil?

Listen to this audio:

Yes, I do. I don't listen to him, because like I said... he's just too commercialized. But you have to realize that there is a little evil in everyone on this earth, it's what the bible calls "the flesh." He might very well be completely evil, but there is an even greater possibility that "the flesh" has twisted God's word in his mind.

Either way, it's not really my place to say.

If you think the gifts of the Spirit are creepy, read Acts 2! Creepy, but real!

In the case of Benny Hinn they are not the gifts of the Spirit.

They are parlor tricks used to swindle money from people. Not even parlor tricks, just manipulation of desperate people looking for hope in a televangilist who will lead them astray.

I with no hesitation call this man evil. He is leading God's people astray in search of a God of worldly wealth and prestige. Scripture is ignored or manipulated for monetary gain. There may be a spirit within his ministry but I would not say it to be a spirit from God.

I would not want to be this man on judgement day, not good for him unless he changes his ways.

Probably, like a lot of t.v. preachers, Binny Hinn was sincere in his early days as a minister of the gospel.
The bigger you get the more pressure you are under to always meet mans expectations, not to mention it takes more and more money to keep those wheels turning, so corruption slowly creeps in.
A true man of God can't be put on a pedestal and hailed like a god, it will cause his pride to become so puffed up until he begins to try and mimic God for his own glory. It's called prostituting the gifts.
People will begin to see through this after awhile, because no man can or ever will be able to take Gods glory.

Here's how I see it. Christ healed in privacy or told those whom he had healed to tell no one. If this is the example of Christ, why should a man claiming to follow Christ's example, do elsewise?

But Jesus did a lot of miracles in plublic too...
He healed the paralized man who was lowered through the roof on his cot in front of alot of people...and it made the pharisees mad. Luke chapter 5.
When the world sees believers allowing God to work miracles through them, it displays his power and brings glory to Him.
I don't believe God does anything that doesn't somehow bring Him glory.
When we try to use Gods glory for ourselves is when the problems start.
I've wittnessed healings, and I was healed once by someone who (by their faith) allowed God to work through them.
It's not because we are special that He gives us gifts, but by His grace and for His glory.
I believe gifts should be Holy Spirit led, if we try to venture outside the leading of God we'll probably fail miserably and then wonder why.

1 Cor. 12:7 "But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

Someone told me not too long ago that each member of the body has something special to pour in another members cup.
My analogy is.. the body of Christ is like a machine, if each part doesn't function according to it's purpose, the machine malfunctions.
