Benny Hinn

I have given much thought to how prosperty changes people,
also had close relationships with many that "do millions a year"
but upon further look into the doctrines of Benny and his multiple
references to spirits of the dead, I think posperity is NOT is main problem.
He got initiated at a graveyard. Since he ejoyed that "annointing" so much,
how would he even reconsider.

His problems are a false "holy spirit" he describes as a sensual experience near
identical to being touched by electricity, the preaching of a different Jesus and
also of a different gospel. Difficult enough to get out of that as a believer, how
much more when you're a teacher of it and "doing several hundred millions a year".

I agree with the two pastors in the audio that state "everyone should be
able to discern that, but they don't". These kind of numberless evidences
of falsehood are hard to overlook, except for people that think the Bible is
a discussion proposal and we can pick what we like, change what we like
and become like what Benny said about himself "a little god". Will people
that tolerate all this be able to discern the false messiah when he declares
himself to be jesus and has visble signs to prove his point? You've got to face
reality, if one tolerates Benny one will tolerate the one that is bigger than him.

I don't disagree with anything you've said geo, I didn't really know how Binny Hinn started out.
If he started out the way you've said then thats pretty demonic. I watched him a couple of years ago just to see what he had to say and it made me sick.
It was a meeting for all the world leaders, there was several different religions in the room along with christiantiy...although the meeting itself was supposed to be based on the bible through Binny Hinns ministry.
He told them to each pray to their own gods for their healing, and there they were arms up in the air all worshipping together. It really made me sick.
I know sometimes its alot more than money and compromise.
I do know that humanism will be a big card played out in the 'religion' of the last days.
Love everything, tolerate everything, and if you rock the boat you aren't being a good little "christian".
Everything will be tolerated except the uncompromised truth, kinda ironic isn't it?
I think the way to tell the authentic from the counterfeit isn't through what they are doing (which will probably tell enough), but through the fruits of what they are saying and doing.
As in the church we came out of, It's what they ommit that usually speaks the loudest. Anything they see as offensive or judgmental in Gods word is aliminated, thats why people are being subtly decieved.
This "different spirit" can preach straight from the bible, yet leave out crucial scripture that brings forth conviction change and holiness.
If the whole counsel of God isn't brought forth, eveything else is trash.

Destiny, you describe the general problems of our time accurately,
although Benny as a person is not that subtle for me. He was about the
first I felt uncomfortable with in spirit watching TBN. I knew something isn't
right just from his "normal conduct". The thing is, not many people really
want to know the truth and never search for actual truth behind a projected
image, even if they get warning signals in spirit or from scripture.

Even if we do, the crucial part starts when we get confronted with a reality
and truth that opposes the picture that is presented "on stage" sold to
the audience. That's where the conflict starts and many give in to the "old
reality" even if it's false, despite reason and evidence, and that's how the
Devil gets a foot in our door. It starts with bad judgement and a spirit of
compromise.

Compromise with "bad quality" is also a cultural thing, it's very american,
if you ever watched a show like 'American idol' with 3 judges giving their
perception to contestants. Paula: "I really liked your personality, they
way you tried to.... Randy: "yeah dude, you really have some potential here..."
Simon: "That was crap, it's a 100% no for me"

Only the last guy actually means business, the other two don't want to hurt
the person and keep them in their self-delusional state that told them that
they can actually sing. No love for truth is the beginning of all deception.

But back to our candidate, one brother that does love truth is Mike Oppenheimer
and he did watch Benny over several years: http://www.letusreason.org/b.hinn.htm
Over 20 articles and indepth studies without spin, Benny is vocal enough by himself.

scary...creepy...heresy that is listened to and believed...not good :sad

It is not scary or heretical to speak of people being raised from the dead. I wonder what you would have done if you lived during Jesus' time on earth. He cancelled a number of funerals that we can read about...and most likely a few that we have not read about in the Word of God!

I don't agree with everything Hinn says, but it isn't heretical to proclaim that God is going to raise people from the dead. God never changes. He did it before and He'll do it again...

Debtfree :-D

Can God use a trickster to bring people to righteousness and salvation in Christ Jesus?
  • Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Do you wonder if anyone was ever effected by how Judas Iscariot used a kiss to betray Jesus?
Do you wonder if anyone was ever brought to repentance because of the evil path Judas Iscariot took?
Do you think that it just maybe that someone can learn by the mistakes and poor examples of others?

Think about it.....
Why would God use a betrayer to work out His plan of salvation?

Would you think it to be, because without sin there is no need for a savior?
We are all sinners.... and sin is the way which leads to repentance, which leads to salvation from sin, Jesus is that way.

Without the sins of the world would there be any need for anyone to come to repentance and thereby find salvation FROM sin ?
God uses evil for His purpose. He uses it to bring us to a place where there is no more falling into sin, Not a place in which there is no temptation to sin, but a place in which we OVERCOME and RESIST sin ... That is what heaven is; a place in which we are without falling into sin, it is a place in which we have overcome and have found a place in which we are separated from those who are still in sin.

  • Revelation 22:12-15
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

God isn't using Benny Hinn to create a mass of wicked people!
Benny Hinn may be crooked in many ways, but he is on no way able to defeat the plan and purpose of God... No more than Judas Iscariot could.
If anything, people can, and will learn to not follow after the poor examples Benny Hinn has presented, but also, we can learn from the good examples He presents.

The wheat and the tarres are going to grow together until the harvest whether we like it or not! It is our duty to know the difference and store the good while we discard the bad. We all have those wheats and tarres in our own lives. I've made some really bad choices in my life. And by the Grace of God, my eyes were opened to repentance FROM my poor choices. Grace is what opened my eyes to find salvation. And the only way Benny Hinn is going to find That road to repentance from his wrong doing is by the Grace of God. No man receives the Grace of God unless God grants it. No different than any one of us finding grace to walk away from our own sin. But until then.... we are to look to God and learn how to decern the wolves in sheeps clothing, and to separate the wheat from the tarres.

We are all used for His purpose. Reverence and the fear of the Lord is not a thing to take for granted. I have had poor examples in my own life used for the purpose of God's plan also!

None of us likes to be used through sin, but we all are!

Think about it.

While we are on this earth we all need something to overcome! Else, there wouldn't be any need for the salvation through Christ Jesus!
Would there be any victory in Christ if no need to overcome the temptations and sins of this world?

This earth is a complicated place is it not?

We all need Jesus to help overcome the sins of the world that we are all "faced" with! Some fall into addiction, some fall into theivery, some fall into any and all kinds of sin. The whole premise is to OVERCOME those sins! Through the help of Jesus. We all need to look for our salvation from the sin(s) we are tempted by...... through Christ Jesus. So, Benny Hinn must deal with Christ Jesus to overcome his own sins, just as much as we must. No different.

Even though he is a minister of the word. God did not make any minister above any of us. Ministers are to be a representative, but God didn't make them anymore or less likely to be tempted. They too must strive to overcome their own sin(s). And we see it in the news all too often how ministers have fallen short of their duties and examples for the congregation they minister. Proof perfect, that ministers need to face the challenge of taking up their own cross daily, also. God brings justice to all, one way or another. We are shown through the truth of God's HOLY WORD, that no man can, trick or outsmart the truth of God be them a Preacher or not.

We all need to pray for each other.
