Best Christmas movie ever, worst Christmas movie ever...

What say me?

It's a hard one to be honest and maybe I shouldn't have pushed you.

We have a lot of crime over here as a result of open borders. And people have died in trucks and the ocean trying to get over to Europe. That's why we voted brexit. It will not change it.

Truth is though that a wall will not stop those trying to get in illegally and legally. There will be people exploiting those who want a better life, escape the horrors of their own life in the hope of a new one. That will not change.

We build a wall the scrupulous will find away around it and exploit the unscrupulous who are damned if they don't and damned if they do.
Complicated. I don't like the EU. Terrible idea.

Different thread...

I see I'ma gonna have to learnt myself a whole new way of speak'n English when I get to New Zealand.
I believe every country's English is a little different. It shouldn't be too difficult. And it's easier for the young'uns.

Are you in the states now?

Mine says this

ἐνδύσασθε τὴν πανοπλίαν τοῦ θεοῦ πρὸς τὸ δύνασθαι ὑμᾶς στῆναι πρὸς τὰς μεθοδίας τοῦ διαβόλου·

so you a geek? I mean greek?

You posted a greek bible verse.I figured it was your native tounge.

I'm Scottish and beleive me the mother tongue of Scotland may as well be Greek.

If I'm correct the Greek verse I posted is Koine (ancient) Greek, which was the Greek text of the N.T.
It's not the same as modern day Greek.

Modern Greek (demotic) has a simplified grammar and accents and the vocabulary has naturally changed over time, but the basic core of the language is the same, so a speaker of modern Greek can usually get the gist of an ancient text, although trying to translate may often lead to misinterpretations. (Google)

When I came back to church a few years ago I decided to research scripture and its meaning as it was originally written rather than what I read in English. What did the words actually mean.

To that end I now use a bible on my app with a Strongs concordance and I use bible.hub.

So my Greek post was from that.

The following is a link to the bible verse containing armour/armor.

http://biblehub.com/lexicon/ephesians/6-11.htm

Where you see the column with the Strongs number If you click on it then it gives you the actual meaning and it's uses.

For me getting to understand the true meaning and how it should be interpreted has really helped me.

Oh dear do I know come accross as a geek?
