What thoughts come to mind as you compare the first and last verses of the book of John?

The whole book... though most questions, are referring to chapter 1:1-18

Jn. 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Jn. 21:25 "Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.

Jesus has a title and that is the WORD. When a disciple records something that Jesus did, it is called His Word. There must be a very large amount of Words that Jesus spoke that never, in this life time be read. Perhaps when we go to heaven, we will hear:nod "the rest of the story."

Oh that's cool. I never thought about it like that, hearing the rest of the story. That's exciting.

Bar-mitzvah to baptism.

Then there is also the idea that as The Word there would be infinite deeds of His that could extend beyond and therefore eclipse creation.
