OK,. I used to be a geek with the 486 processors....

Now most of what this article talks about is Greek to me

I have been interested in building a desktop computer for the home. I know that I can build one that can handle 4 monitors and a couple of keyboards fairly simply enough but technology has advanced beyond my ability at the moment.

Any chance at a translation of what they are speaking about?

I can understand the desire for four monitors, but what would you need a second keyboard for on one machine?

So that on one screen I can surf but my wife will be using the other three in an office in the house for her stuff.

I know that it sounds like we need two computers but if we got one that can accommodate all of the stuff that we do and be upgraded and repaired (such as a self built unit can be) then why not just make one good unit...and maybe play a game or two on it.

Desktops are still not that hard to build even today, when you have a understanding of them.
