By what power does Satan raise the antichrist from the dead?

Ambient

This is a well known story in the bible. The antichrist is given a mortal wound and in 3 days he comes back to life at the amazement of the world. By what power is this ressurection acheived?

Via the Power of God.... he is the author of the play we are all participating in...

The Lord of hosts has sworn saying, "Surely, just as I have intended so it has happened, and just as I have planned so it will stand (Isaiah 14:24

Peace to you

Reminds me of the following quote:

God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh.

WOE!! Dude! You can't be serious??? :o This would be a grossly unjust act to help in the deception of countless millions!!

Satan is a spirit being, most anything he does thats tangible in the human realm will be thought of as a 'miracle'.
All of his 'miracles' are designed to deceive humanity.

2 Thess:
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Why Not? At this time in history it will be a world without the Church and Christ rejecting world. God proclaims that His word will be preached through out the enitre world and then the end shall come. God is giving everyone the opportunity to accept Him.

Why would God pour out His wrath on mankind, killing a 1/3 of all the trees on the earth? Killing a 1/3 of all mankkind? Killing a 1/3 of the animal kingdom? Because..... He's a just God, and if He did not judge the earth through His warth, He would deny Himself.

Since God is Pure, Holy and without sin, HE MUST judge through His righteousness. Having given Satan alittle power during this time (his time) means very little to the big picture. God still wants one to come know Him. However, since they have rejected Him during the Grace period, they must now accept Him through the Wrath period. God will still have 144,000 witnessess proclaiming the Word including two witnessess who also raise from the dead after three days of lying in the street.

And there you have it. I guess you were right after all, Spirit Driven. Apparently, God WILL have a major hand in people being deceived. :crying:

Its OK Ambient...... it is not our plan.
When I was a boy I used to hear some Christians speak about the.... Highness .... of Gods ways and how we cannot fathom his Will from begining to end, but that quite often the Lords Wisdom can be seen in hind sight.

Why God has chosen to do things the way he has, no human being will ever be able to fathom.... perhaps at the consumation when the mystery of God is revealed to all, we will come to understand.... we will not be flesh and blood anymore by then.... until that time comes I guess all we can do is just put our trust in him and his work on the Cross with Jesus.

Grace and Peace to you..... always

Why God has chosen to do things the way he has, no human being will ever be able to fathom....
God is very clear as to why He allowed these people to be deceived...

2 Thess 10
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Clearly these people loved unrighteousness and falsehood instead of the truth, so God sent them what they were looking for.
Ever been in a church that would kick out any pastor who didn't tickle their ears? Notice that after awhile God will send them exactly what they're looking for.

I like the way that Adrian Rogers once explained it. These are people who have already rejected God. They have made themselves enemies of the cross, turned their back to God and went the other direction.
"God just gets behind them and gives them a little push."

Isa 66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose [that] in which I delighted not.

Well, that's my problem. This seems rather vindictive and hateful. If someone is going to reject God, fine, but for God to "give them a little push", that just seems wrong. This has to be another example of either figurative language, or an idea of the actual writer of that passage to push an agenda, for some reason. It just doesn't seem like the characteristics of a loving God OR a just God. :-?

Ambient - I gotta say, I don't agree with some of the comments others have made because I believe them to be based on a wrong premise - that if you don't go to heaven, you go to hell - but that's another issue.

What do you think a righteous and just God should do then?

Ambient, I answered this already and you have not responded from it

I don't believe God gives anyone a little push in the wrong direction, I believe He puts up many roadblocks to keep a person out of Hell. People reject God every day because they don't want Him and they can't bear the (real) cross.
They don't love all of Gods word and they are unable to accept the fact that God is both a loving God and a Holy and Just God who will judge the enemies of the cross.
Just like we have more than one aspect to our nature, so does God, although He is unchanging.
God will give people exactly what they want in time, be it Himself or some demonic counterfeit. People choose what they want.

Imagine standing in the house of someone that you disrespect. Bad mouth him. Beat some of His children. Steal from them, and kill others. Would you expect Him to politely escort to the door?

I have found that most people that have a problem with the idea of hell, have never encountered truly wicked, evil people. I pray that you never do.

Wait, lets back up a moment...

May we see some scripture for this?

I'm not sure. However, I think everyone should be given the time to respond to ALL of the information that they need in order to make a WISE decision. Without ALL of the information, a WISE decision may not be possible with everyone. It may be the fact that ALL of the information will not be available until they are standing in the presence of Jesus. At that time, they will have ALL the information and should be given the opportunity to embrace it, otherwise their decision on earth was made outside ALL available resources. Justice and Fairness would give every person AMPLE opportunity, not just that which relies on Faith.

Having said what I said in my previous post, if we don't have ALL the information, then to be judged based on our lack of ALL the information is not Justice at all.
