Can a true Christian believe Darwin's theory of biological evolutionism by "natural selection". Can a true Christian believe people are descended from the animals, and not created in the image and likeness of God?:nod

this isnt not the forum for this, either post it in the science forum or the ct@a. as this is more of science debate.

Okay! Moderator, could you kindly move this question to the science debate forum. Sorry for the inconvenience.:nod

Now I'm a newbie on this forum, and I've been lurking long enough, have read enough to see Scott's fascination with bait threads:)

Now I have access to the science forum, hope you do move this there.

Soooooo, I'll bite on this bit of chum:)

I would ask how anyone could possibly believe in biological evolution where no evidence for it exists.

You can go into any lab in the world, with all the chemicals you want, create any atmosphere you want, use any machine you want...and at the end of any time period you want...you will never make a self-reproducing anything.

Now, no one can do this on purpose, but somehow, magically..it happened by accident, not once, but for the incredible diversity of life, it would have to happen bazillions of times.

Yeah..riiiiiiight, a belief that fluffy pink bunnies lay caramel filled chocolate eggs has more evidence.:)

ok then, i moved it here, and also what of micro-evolution that doesnt negate the literal account of genesis?

and also what of micro-evolution that doesnt negate the literal account of genesis?

Example please.
I want to make sure we are both speaking to the same thing.

Aaaaaaand.....
I would like a response to my original question.:)

You are right. . . . . .the way you qualified this "evolution", no one should believe it. ;)

That's it?????

C'mon, show proof of life or get off the evolution did it malarky.
I'm a skeptic, demonstrate or be put in the realm of Easter bunnies.

well? she did ask a revalant question if its the facts then post them.

or correct her

Was this directed to me? If so, I'm not going to do the homework that you should do before discussing what the TOE actually states.

And it is actually quite funny that you would state yourself as "a skeptic", yet you choose to dismiss the "magic of evolution", but probably embrace the "magic of the Genesis 1 reading".

Just what I expected, comments on what you imagine as my beliefs without addressing my question.

...and apparently..I just a ig'nurt believer in the stupid'nat'ral. oh well, I'll just have to live with it.:)

Now that we've cleared up my ignorance, please end the personal crap and show me evidence of some imaginary evolutionary beginning of life.
Now.

polite reminder, lets keep the posts civil.

i let that slide once. but please its not the way of this forum.

No...for one thing it never has or will ever happen, evolution that is. One species over countless millions of years to change in something that is new... fairly tell..

Please state how you believed life came into being on this planet.

As for "ignorance", that doesn't mean someone is flawed. Ignorance just means that a person hasn't yet been introduced to a subject. When they are, their ignorance is replaced by learning. As for the TOE, there are plenty of places that explain it.

As for demonstrating it, I am not an evolutionary scientist, so I am unable to give you what you want. Others may. But because I can't give you "tests I have done to show abiogenesis", that doesn't mean others can't. I'm sure you can find them with a google search.

Ah that's just it there is no evidence for ToE belief system.
Telling me to "go google it" is intellectually empty...

Evolutionists cannot explain how life began, other than wild eyed theories without one scrap of evidence for them.

No human can make life.
Life only comes from life.

So the answer to the OP is NO, no one can believe in this Easter bunny philosophy.

the toe doenst explain where life came from only starts from the idea of the first cell, the theory of abiogenisis is the theory that deals with the origin of the first cell of protocell.

Of which there is no evidence for.

Of which there is no evidence for.

somesay, i dont believe in either but i havent look at the theories in a while as the contra-argument will state thier case.

i dont recall any test on the theory of abiogenesis such as the miller uray and such like

only the attempts to make sythentic cells and also those bacterias that can survive in hostile enviroments has been submitted as evidence.

You cannot test observe or demonstrate abiogenesis. You have to take it on "faith". That is the most appropriate word for it too. "believing without seeing." Not very scientific if you ask me.
