Of course we can make GOD angry. But, can HE make us angry?

Sure. Jonah was angry with God because He didn't destroy Ninive.

Oh yes my soccer friend, especially when He points out an error in my testimony, or something that He wants me to give up that I like very much. He made me mad when my first wife died of cancer, she was a model Christian wife and partner in the ministry. Upset? Yep!

.... the whole world gets angry with Yhwh because of the hailstones and other plagues in Revelation . When 1/3 of all men are killed, instead of calling for help, they get angry at Yhwh and blame Him.

Jesus says somewhere, that the churchy religousy people will get very mad at God, because He requires a total life change (Matthew 10 et al ), and they don't want to do what He says. So, instead, they kill His prophets and His disciples. (as if that makes it all better)

Good one Jeff. That mention of Revelation always has me amused, you'd think that they would fall on their faces before God and repent, but oh no! They have to shake their fist at God.:shame

God has made me angry many times.I am on my knees in the dark and His prayers seem like they are bouncing off the ceiling. That is when I was growing in my walk with God and my faith was about the size of a mustard seed.I have grown. My faith has grown. But God could take my anger. He has broad shoulders.

I'm so glad that He understands Kathi. Any changes to your living and job situation?

Question is, is our anger justified ?

I can't imagine any scenario where anger towards God is justified. :nono
.
Exactly my point...'cause HIS decisions are infallible and are for our good.

But truth is, it's not always easy not to lose our cool. I try to be composed

I can see a frustration of the moment because of circumstance, but anger towards God would never be justified. Luckily, God loves us as little children and understands our frustration. It's us that need to realize that it isn't Gods fault, we just don't understand yet the far reaching ramifications of His decisions to let certain things happen. Life is one big delayed gratification lesson at it's finest.

Spent almost 5 years being pretty angry at God... that was real smart.:shame.. trying not to be yet it kept creeping up... I was angry because of the way He was taking Dad home..

Of course we can make GOD angry. But, can HE make us angry?
Only because his ways are different, compared to our view of sanity god is a nutcase and when god the nutcase draws near we get angry because of our sane thinking.

God makes a lot of people angry. I mean, they crucified Jesus, didn't they? Not much has changed.

Personal example: I used to be a victim of personal sin--the mental health people called it "poor life choices." Jesus has chosen to step in and heal me and transform me. That makes people around here angry. Is it my doing? No. Jesus' work in my life apparently p*sses people off (I keep hearing that around town).

So, yes, God makes people angry.
