we must learn to study the full story. we must learn to understand the enviroment and attitudes of the people involved at the time.
people, think for a moment. Jesus preached love and forgiveness. ask yourself, what else could he preach? he was surrounded by Roman soldiers. his mission only lasted 3 years. people, i'll tell you this, if you were to compare the first 3 years of the mission of Muhammed, you will find that they preached exactly the same kind of love and peace. exactly the same kind of forgiveness and understanding. what else could muhammed do?? he had hardly any followers, Allah made him introduce Islam slowly at first. remember pre-islam, he was known as Al Amin, The Trustworthy.and please, lets not forget all of his acts of charity and kindness, even to people who murdered members of his family. ask yourself, what would YOU want to be done to someone who had killed YOUR beloved Uncle? would you forgive and let the go them as Muhammed did?
jesus, at his ascenion had only had around 200 followers. muhammed had tens of thousands some of which were from even as far afield as China. they had different missions to complete.
military force was needed but only as a self defense to muslims.
people, when jesus does return to create a near heaven on earth, he will do so as a religious, political and religious ruler for 40 years.
Muhammad used force to force people to convert to Islam not for self defense but because he believed he had a mandate from his false god to kill anyone who did not convert.
Jesus did not ever try to conquer the world through his followers nor did the Lord tell His followers to conquer the world by force.
He had a different mission.

Jesus could have destroyed the entire Roman Empire but instead He chose to die for the sins of others.
