I chewed on this for a bit before answering and I can explain to you what is to me one of the most important parts of the Bible.
The scripture section is 2 Timothy 2:14-16
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.../
This means...remember this and put it in your heart...you must make effort to read these scriptures for yourself, for several reasons, that so when Jesus comes and you stand before Him...if He asks you, did you read and study the record of my Word that I left for you?...You wont have to be ashamed and say no! It does not matter how well you read or understand it, you do it anyway, for the Spirit of the Lord will come and help you with it! I know a big time Pastor who couldn't read at all up into his 30's, and the Lord touched him one day so he began his walk with the Lord and learned to read with the Bible as his textbook alone.
You have to put His Word upon your heart. This means reading it every day. You will not understand it, but do it anyway. The words go in...then the Holy Spirit has something to work with, within you. You ponder it to the extent that you do understand...and you have planted a seed within your heart that can be watered and will grow. You know how people say, to sleep on it before making a big decision? This is because things do not grow instantaneously, it takes a bit of time. Reading God's Word is the same way. You plant a new seed every day. Then at night when you sleep, the Lord comes with His Holy Spirit and bears witness to your spirit, teaching it, teaching you! If you don't believe me, just try it and see Brother. It will change your life. And watch what comes out of your mouth. Be careful what you say. For it will lead to more ungodliness.
Start with the Book of John.
