Nope. Here's another actor:

Wallace Shawn

Plot: The "head honcho" of a closely-knit community seeks revenge when a newcomer threatens to take his place.

Monday morning and no bites yet? Ok, time for some more help.

clue #1: The actors listed are not the main actors. The principal actors are successful and well-known comedians. One of them has done extremely well in dramas as well.

....and now the giveaway......

clue #2: The studio that produced the film started with Luxo, a desk lamp.

i bet you are right that makes me feels so silly for not getting it now. VICE you are a tricky one!!!!!!!!! good job though!

Toy Story?

You're right.

I figured that would throw everyone off, as everyone would've been thinking about a live action movie. I held off on the main actors because if I'd have named Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, I'd have given everything away. I also chose the supporting actors because I thought it might make it trickier in case anyone wanted to google their names. :-D

Your turn.

Cool!

Ok....I'll go with an older movie here....One of my favs.

These quotes are both spoken by what may be the most famous cameo appearance of all time.

You know, I never feel comfortable on these sort of things. Victims? Don't be melodramatic. Tell me. Would you really feel any pity if one of those dots stopped moving forever? If I offered you twenty thousand pounds for every dot that stopped, would you really, old man, tell me to keep my money, or would you calculate how many dots you could afford to spare? Free of income tax, old man. Free of income tax - the only way you can save money nowadays.

Don't be so gloomy. After all it's not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance.

In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock. So long Holly.

Another two hints...

1. Joseph Cotton is the star
2. It is set in Vienna

This film also stars one of my favorite actors from that time. The great Orsen Wells.

The Third Man.

Great Job Khaine!

The Third Man is one of my all time top five. Welles' smirk in the doorway when Cotton first sees him is one of the greatest shots ever.

And the zither!

Anyhoo...you're up.

Sorry about the delay. Been a busy couple of days.

Les Tremayne
Lewis Martin
Cedric Hardwicke. Never appeared on screen. Only his voice was used

By the way he's hedging maybe they got through. I've seen news off the Pacific wire; Rangoon, the Philippines, from what's coming through no one's stopped 'em yet.

All communications are out... which is why these tape recordings I'm making are for the sake of future history - if any.

Your right, it is an old movie. It was released in 1953.
A TV series was developed and aired in the 80's as a direct sequel to this movie.
All the action takes place in southern California, and the climax occurs with the main characters in a church.

Either no one is interested in keeping this thread going or, I've completely stumped everyone here.
Anyway, the movie that I was using is the 1953 version of War of the Worlds.
So the next question is open to the first person to post one.

The Fugitive

I don't know how good I'll be at guessing (I had to cheat to get this one), but I decided to try to revive the thread and see what happens.

Quote: The trouble with Scotland is that it's full of Scots.

Starring: Mel Gibson
