Taken with my new Pentax 55-300 lens. The lens is very sharp, and it renders out of focus backgrounds very well.

Nice picture.
It caused me to recall they have a really sharp "bark".
It has been so long since I heard one that I have forgotten what it was like.

never too old to have a passion, which is obviously photography in your case. awesome photo btw.
Thanks. I began back before there were digital cameras. It was a lot harder then. But I still love it. Mrs. Barbarian got tired of being a photography widow, and took it up too. She's not bad at all...

Barbarian reminds us to just do what we love. Don't get caught up in opinions and debates. This is life! My passion is music and guitar btw. Not that I'm going to share any of my embarassing attempts at art.

God says "make a joyful noise unto the Lord." Doesn't say anything about needing musical talent.

For which I am very grateful.

no they chirp ,two females were chasing one male the day I saw this in a community called castaway on,the barrier island . it wasn't loud ,I was within 10 feet as they flew in front of me into a shrub

Thank you. I thought no one here would know that word.

Japanese word, both spellings are kinda like it, but "bokeh" is the "official" version. It means that the out-of-focus back ground forms a very pleasing blur. This is often the result of more blades in diaphragm of the lens, or by a number of optical factors.
