What is it that drives our motivations? Are you type that would rather be challenged, to rise to the occasion so to speak? Or would you rather be inspired into action? Or do you like to be both inspired and challenged?

If we look at the law, does the law challenge us to follow Christ or does the law inspire us to follow Christ?

Hi ezrider
I like a mixture of both. I believe Jesus is the greatest inspiration ever. It is also a challenge to follow The Lord. It is not easy, but also a joy.
The law probably a challenge. Although they did have inspiration too such as all the miracles God did when helping the Israelites.

I was challenged by bosses to motivate me to work harder/better. I was inspired by God to work for myself and others who needed help. I would say God not only inspired me to write my book, but feel He was my co-author in so many ways.

I prefer challenges that are doable. Not too far above my skill set. So the gospels are often way above my ability.
I find this discouraging to be honest. Maybe the best solution is start small. Smiling is a start. Just trying to be nice to those close to you. One success leads to another? God's grace works gradually?

Wow. That's a deep question.
You are challenging me more than inspiring me, I have to say. ?
Ok I will opt for "inspire" but the reality is, that the gospel is a challenge for us, no matter how inspirational He was.
Even though he became human, he was still a God man.
