Charles Ryrie

...just passed away.

He was a great man and a devoted servant of God. He was Protestant, so I didn't always agree with him, but I will miss him. Christendom is a little less today with his passing.

I hadn't associated this thread's Charles Ryrie with the Charles Ryrie of the Ryrie Study Bible.

We each, as part of our Lord's family, have been gifted with certain skills & talents which serve us in fulfilling the tasks before us. Charles Ryrie's gifts will be of great use for decades to come.

No worries, my friend. Whether nationally/internationally known, or known on the everyday level, those who touch our lives in positive ways are missed when they pass. This particular gentleman impacted your life in such a way you shared the news of his passing, and that's what matters most
