Chinchillas

You know as much as I love mice and rabbits I totally forgot that they even existed until the topic came up today. The reason why I mention mice and rabbits is because they sort of look like a combination between the two. Or one gigantic mouse. Anyways I think they're absolutely adorable and I was wondering if anybody here has ever had one for a pet before, or ever even heard of them.

They use them to make coats, but ya, they do look like an oversized mouse/rabbit combo. Just like Guinea Pigs they would make a good pet.

I know I read about that and that's sad. The poor chinchillas. Also, isn't that illegal? Not like it would stop anybody who was that cruel and heartless and willing to commit a crime though even if it was.

It's not illegal as they are raised special for this purpose under government regulations. I would imagine they would be expensive.

Well it should be illegal then along with declawing and shock collars and a bunch of other stuff like that.
