Share your thoughts on what it means to have Christ in you..
Paul writes this to the church of God at Corinth..
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Paul writes this to the Colossian church..
Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
What I see often is that many Christians are being led to believe that God is making them better.. although what I see the scriptures teaching is that God is NOT making you or me better but rather reckoning our old man dead and that we are now living by the power of the Spirit of the new man who lives in us.. which of course is Christ Jesus our Lord.
Flesh gives birth to the flesh..
The Spirit gives birth to the Spirit..
And these two are contrary to one another...
