Christ was appointed a Kingdom !

The Kingdom is the Church, the Body of Christ or Believers!

1 Cor 15:24

24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

What Kingdom ? Remember Daniel 7:14

14And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Remember Lk 22:22

29And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

The Kingdom is the Church that He died for, and He will present before the Father Heb 2:10

10For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Jude 1:24

24Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

This Kingdom is comprised of the Children God hath given Him Heb 2:13

13And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

Jn 17:2

2As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

Remember that Kingdom of Dan 7:14 was what ? Given Him Dan 7:14

14And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Its the Kingdom of God's Dear Son Col 1:13

13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

This Kingdom is His Body, the Church !

My Kingdom is not of this world !

Jn 18:36

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Jesus stated that His Kingdom, that is the one that He is it's King, is not of this world. It is a Heavenly, Spiritual Kingdom ! 2 Tim 4:18

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

The word heavenly here means:

existing in heaven

a) things that take place in heaven

b) the heavenly regions

1) heaven itself, the abode of God and angels

2) the lower heavens, of the stars

3) the heavens, of the clouds

c) the heavenly temple or sanctuary

2) of heavenly origin or nature

Jesus said on another occasion that it was within

Lk 17:21

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

That is it was within the Election of Grace, the Israel of God in National Israel.

This kingdom was Spiritual, Paul says of it Rom 14:17

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Its the New Birth Jn 3:3-5

Folks the Kingdom of God and Christ is not a literal physical kingdom, but it is a literal Spiritual Kingdom, of God's reigning Grace in the Hearts of the Elect of God, His Sheep, His Church.

All whom Christ died for shall reign in life Rom 5:17

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ )

Thats ensuring New Birth, shall reign in Life !

That is how they reign in this Life, by being born into Christ's Kingdom, whereby then they are made a Kings and priests of God ! Rev 1:6

6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

These things were promised to Abraham's Seed ! Gen 17:6

And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

This is a Promise of the Everlasting Covenant vs 7

7And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

And these promises are established by the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant Heb 13:20

20Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Which are spiritual , and inward vs 21

21Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Thats why Jesus says of His Kingdom Lk 17:21

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Christ's Kingdom consists of all who are made alive by His Resurrection Life, Begotten again by it. 1 Pet 1:3

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

His Resurrection makes them a Kingdom of Priest Rev 1:5-6

5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Note on the word kings :

Notes:

(1) In Rev 1:6; 5:10, the most authentic mss. have the word basileia, "kingdom," instead of the plural of basileus, AV, "kings," RV, "a kingdom (to be priests)," and "a kingdom (and priests).

So some translate Rev 1:6

NIV and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father--to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

ESV and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

NASB and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father-- to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

So Christ by His Resurrection births all for whom He died into His Kingdom !

If we recall 1 Pet 1:3, following in the 2 Chapter, Peter calls them that have begotten again by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead this, 1 Pet 2:9

9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

The word royal is the greek word basileios and can me King, So some Translations read like this:

ABPE But you are a chosen race who serve as Priests for The Kingdom, a holy people, a redeemed assembly; you should proclaim the praises of him who called you from darkness into his excellent light.

DRB But you are a chosen generation, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people: that you may declare his virtues, who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

DBT But ye are a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;

So again, the emphasis is that The Resurrection of Christ makes all for whom Christ died and rose again [in behalf of] a Kingdom !

It is this Kingdom that the Gospel of the Kingdom is for and they only can understand it !

How detailed would that be jason? He was called King in Isaiah

Isa 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

I do not a but VERY slim idea of tanakh.

Hi Reba

Please, Im not wanting to be contentious but these are the words God breathed as recorded in Isaiah 44:6.

כה-אמר יהוה מלך-ישראל וגאלו יהוה צבאות אני ראשון ואני אחרון ומבלעדי אין אלהים

Translated it says: Thus says Yehovah the King of Israel and his redeemer Yehovah of hosts; I the first and I the last; and beside Me no God.

He doesnt say Jesus, Yeshua or Yahoshua He quite clearly says He Yehovah (YHVH) is God and there are none beside him. Please note he doesn't say beside 'Us' it is singular 'Me'. Also not only does He claim to be the King of Israel but also his Redeemer

The appointed Kingdom of Christ is the same as the Elect for whom He died !

That certain men and women have already been appointed eternal life or the eternal kingdom, same thing 2 Peter 1:11

For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Matt 25:34

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Now that they[Certain People] had been appointed to Eternal Life is seen in Jesus words to the mother of james and john, who was prompted to ask the Saviour for chairs of honor for her sons, and Jesus said unto them Matt 20:20-23

20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them[specific persons] for whom it is prepared of my Father.

This word prepared is the same word used in Matt 25:34

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Both times the Lord uses the Perfect Passive Tenses, and the Kingdom has been prepared for certain ones, and not for all mankind, and this determination was by Father before the foundation !

Hence, Eternal Life or the Heavenly Kingdom 2 Tim 4:18;Heb 11:16 is for a special selected people, chosen in Christ from the foundation Eph 1:4, and this is how it should have been preached !

Yese but in John 1:1 Jesus clearly identifies Himself as God and therefore He is YHVH.
