Christian verses other religions

It is the Fathers will: that we believe on the one whom he sent; Jesus Christ.
And that we “do unto others, as you would have them do unto youâ€.

In these two things, are all the commandments fulfilled.

Do you command an Apple to produce Apples, NO. When the time of Apples comes, the tree does what it was created to do naturally.

So a Christian if they are truly Christian, not counting the Religious, naturally produce the Fruits of the Spirit (good works). There is no reward for works, based on works for the sake of doing them, but all reward is based on abiding in Christ, if so you walk in abidance, good works will come just as the apples on the tree come, when the time of fruit bearing is at hand.

You need to read John 15:1-11 :)

Hi

Fruits of the Spirit are not good works !

Fruit of the Spirit are , Love,Joy, Peace, longsuffering, gentlness temperance, goodness, faith, goodness. < None of these are works !

Now someone might quote the scripture which states - show your faith by your works. But, our faith, is not the fruit of the Spirit faith. The fruit of the Spirit - faith, is the faith of Christ. Notice what it says in II Corinth. 13:5

Our faith, will be manifested by our works. If "i" love someone, then "i" will do what is necessary to help that person in need.

But the fruit of the Spirit - Love , is not our own individual love, it is the Love of God in our hearts. Notice what it says in I Corinth. 13:3 - "And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor" < Sounds great, and it is love, but it is your love that inspired you to bestow all you goods to feed the poor". But if you keep reading, you will notice the word "charity" , which again is a poor translation for the word "Love". Maybe the translators wanted to seperate our own individual love, for the Love of God , so they translated the word Love as Charity.

In verse 4 of I Corinth. 13, we read - "Love" suffereth long, and is kind ; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself , is not puffed up. Verse 5 - Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own , is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil. Verse 6 - Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth. Verse 7 - Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Love never faileth". < Remember this is the Love of God in our hearts, not our own individual love for another.

Notice in these verses in I Corinth. 13 that "Love" is not a work ! Nor can you produce a work by the Love of God. All the nine fruits of the Spirit are based upon this very word - 'Love', the Love of God in our hearts.

Bless

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

Hi Mike

A prayer, is a prayer, is a prayer = A prayer

It is also a statement of belief. Both of which are good.

But a prayer or statement of belief does not make one a Christian.

A prayer or statement of belief is an acknowledgement. Something had to happen first before you believed in a statement of acknowledgement. So , what do you believe happened first ?
