Why is it, that Christians and Christianity seem to be pressured and hassled into changing our religion to suit secularist, social agendas?

Seems like most of the followers of other religions and non-believers in the western world are made to change for nobody or nothing, they dont have to change for us and if we tried to make them, we'd be labelled as bigots and disrespectful, yet when we dont change our ways to suit them, will still branded bigots and disrepectful.

The Athiests, Agnostics, Muslims and Hindus in my nation (the UK) dont seem to be vastly pressured to change their ways, even if its an ideal that goes against the states "social dream", yet Christians, we seem to be expected to change and "modernise" to the point we're not even Christian anymore.

The reason is that Satan is against the truth, not error. We have the truth, thus we get all the flak.

People are naturally offended by the gospel, becasue it shows how bad they are and how they need Christ's help. I'm guessing that people are not very open to this idea. I'm guessing it's always been like that and it probably will always be like this.

What exactly is being Changed? From what I've seen secular society just wants to be what it always was, secular. I think allot of Christians are forgetting that in their own homes and their own property they can believe what ever they want, but when to tries to mingle with secular rules and laws, it getts pretty messy.

The other religions aren't pressured to change, because for the most part, they are put in a position where they are highly pressured to convert instead. The Majority of the Western world is some kind of Christianity. Its pressured the most, because it happens to be the most popular. Though once you start hitting eastern Europe and beyond, Christianity becomes the minority Only 33% of the entire world population identifies as Christian. ;)

Off the tip of my head allow me to mention the hate laws that an ungodly government is trying to push through. IF this hate law passes this will mean that it will become a crime to offend an homosexual and than our clergy will not be able to preach on certain scriptural readings unless they would like to be arrested.

Wow, I swear teachers don't teach people how things work anymore.

Its not a hate crime to have an opinion or to voice it.

The only way a church could be charged with a hate crime, would be if

The church outed someone against their will to the entire congregation.

The church uses words such as ( Fag, Fageleh, Queer, Sodomites, or any obscene word) The church can still say gay or homosexual.

The church directs violent acts or organizes a protest against certain establishments that are Gay oriented. ( Meaning, if a gay bar down the street is open, the church can't make a blockade infront of it.)

There is nothing in the bill that says churches can't say homosexual sex is a sin. Did anyone here actually read the Bill? Wait, I thought that already passed, I thought the current bill in the works was one protecting pedophiles?

We are only seeing the beginning pressures the church will have to contend with and it this "its always been attitude" that is going to help decieve the christians in the end times. Please notice how Christian leaders are now conforming to doctrine that is unbiblical in order to associate themselves with a secular mindset. Rick Warren is in corporating all religions in his quest for world peace. The emerging church are defaming the Lord Jesus Christ name in order to become more popular and have gone as far as to underplay the crusifixion of Christ. Certain churches are introducing yoga and certain prayer techniques that are based on Eastern Religions. When are we as Christians going to wake up! The true church of Christ is under enormous pressure and Christian leaders are letting it down by not being vigilent in their attempt to defend the Gospel. Iguana although not all people have been Christian and society has not always defended the Church, these times are worse. Be watchful for doctrine that destroys the gospel.

well lance i guess that kjv bible must be bad as it uses the word sodomite, and what we need is more pc.

I don't see Christianity as under pressure. I think this is a story that many tell themselves when a secular society is trying to remain secular. Christianity is not under pressure for me. I can believe how I want to believe and also practice what I believe freely. I may not agree in the decisions that our government makes sometimes when it may not fully support Christian principles but that does not mean that Christianity nor myself is under attack.

I will be faithful to Christ and God no matter what "society" decides to do. My faith is an internal, soulful manifestation that noone can pressure except for me.

Yeah, a website that quote mines and finds the most outlandish cases to prove a point. I've read the actual bill, I suggest you do the same. This is more bs propaganda because some just can't stand the idea that society wants to make everyone equal.
