Local Muslim community leaders banned Christians from praying together in their homes. The reason is that religious activities require permission. However, if a Muslim community group holds a joint worship event at home, permission is not required.

The reason that worship activities require permission is often used by community leaders in Indonesia to prohibit Christians or minority religions from worshiping in Indonesia. They require Christians or other minority religions such as Buddhists, Hindus and Catholics to apply for permits if they want to hold an event. However, if Christians ask for permission, permission is usually not given for various reasons.

I use this scripture to show how early Christians would assemble behind locked doors in fear of being attacked by the Jews and the Roman government. During the time of the Apostles beginning to establish God's true church in various countries where they were sent the assemblies were found underground as they met in others homes, caves and opened fields in fear of the many persecutions that came against them, even to death. Mostly by other Jews or the Romans. There was no organized religion with all the various denominations/non-denominations in the beginning of the early Church. Even today in many countries the persecution, like having to have a permit to meet together and then to be denied, I believe we will see this down the line here in America towards the end of days, especially when the son of perdition, who even now works, takes his literal seat in Jerusalem for 3 1/2 years. But, we are not to fear and keep this scripture in mind.

Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
