Christians with Mental Health Issues

So my diagnoses these days (this thread is 3 years old) include:
Seasonal depression, generalized anxiety, OCD, AVPD, ADHD. And more than likely, soon to be officially diagnosed as autistic.

I've always thought this would be a good group to make on a Christian forum. I don't mean a recovery from addiction group. Susannah has that one covered here.
I just think there is a shared vulnerability for those of us who struggle with anxiety and depression. Or other issues. And maybe our views aren't taken seriously, when we admit our problems. From then on, our perspectives may well attract ridicule.
"I may be crazy but I'm not stupid " as someone once said.
Being a Christian at this time does not shield us from the consequences of Adams sin. Each of us has to deal with our own thorns in the flesh, however by following God's advice from the Bible, we can definitely stave off some of the consequences of our actions.

No, it is sexual OCD.
Gotcha.
Especially in this case, due to stigmas, I would not advise getting too much advice on handling your OCD from this webbed site. Most of the membership is not familiar with how OCD works, and so they would likely have suggestions that only make your OCD worse.

Also, OCD is about obsessing over things you don't want to do. Youri ntrusive thoughts may be scary or even terrifying to you, but the fact that you have this reaction proves that it is not something you wish to do. So you are likely not at risk for doing these things. So the true battle is in making these thoughts less of a presence in your life.

So how can I beat it as a Christian? And can you do CBT without therapy?

In an above post I suggested a group on facebook called Christianity and Anxiety Disorders - Let's Talk
Of course, that suggestion assumes that you have and use facebook.

You can practice CBT and ERP without a therapist, it just can be helpful to have a therapist who is informed on practicing these therapies. I might suggest going on Etsy and looking up "CBT workbook" or "OCD workbook". I know that I've gotten a few "workbooks" off there for various challenges, and they don't run too expensive.
