The "pew whales" ,"the profits from God", and the "anorectics" would keep it from being pleasant.No need to mock. He has a good point. The fat can serve the lean, instead of eating.
It's really not a good idea for the church I attend.
Food can be an attractant for some to come. But I don't think it would fit our church well.
We've had different social functions where food is served. I've led kitchen brigades to feed others at churches with kitchens. Schemes and scams abound in food service. (Seen that at my last church and something is going on with weddings at this one)
In Nashville we have some of the best fed homeless of any large city. There's at least two groups on a daily basis feeding the homeless people here.
So I'm not sure that it's a good idea.
