But the Bible doesn't say fingerprints in humans and other apes are different by design. Turns out, it's genetic. And fingerprints depend on a gene for limb development, EVI1. Not surprisingly, Human and chimpanzee fingerprints are more alike than they are to other apes, and so are EVl1 genes for each species.
